The search for a new head basketball coach at the University may be coming to an end as Virginia Commonwealth University’s Anthony Grant has emerged as the top candidate.

Grant, who according to multiple sources is expected to travel to Tuscaloosa Wednesday, could receive a formal offer during his visit, the Tuscaloosa News reports.

Because he played with five of Kentucky's current players, Bobby Perry readily admits that he wants to see the UK basketball team do well.

University of Kentucky commitment Vinny Zollo had 23 points and 13 rebounds to help No. 15 Clark County beat visiting Lafayette 81-67. Zollo was 8-for-13 from the floor.
