Blazer's Edge Live Band?

I'm relatively new to the Edge so forgive me if this has been discussed before....

I can't stand all the music played during game breaks and even during action –this especially ticks me off– at Blazer games. I'm a huge supporter of the school band's role at college games and it seems like a great chance to do something similar at Blazer games. How about having a live play at games during breaks and even performing a few songs at half time? Obviously, it might be tricky to find a sound that would appeal to the crowd and I'm not sure where a stage or performing area might fit in, but I think a nice funky sounding jam would be just the ticket to keep the party rolling until the game resumes. I think we could do a fan poll at some games to get a sense what people might like. Portland is known as one of the top musical cities around and we've got so many people interested in the local music scene/some really good and popular local bands, this seems like a great chance to give local musicians some exposure and provide an extra attraction to the game experience. I'm not sure about whether it would be good to have a house band, a different band for each game, or a combination. I doubt there would be any lack of interest from groups. What do you all think? Is this in any way reasonable?
