So today I take the wife out to look at new cars. She was wanting a Crossover and we went to a couple of dealerships. Ended up deciding on a Chevy Traverse LTZ but we really wanted a Black on Black and they didnt have one in the trim level we wanted. Turns out that Coach Watterson has a demo from them in the color we wanted and it was offered to us. While the thought of in some small way inconveniencing one of our esteemed coaches was hugely appealing, a cold chill fell over me. So standing in the middle of the dealership I blurt out rather loudly................... "You gotta be kidding me, the damn thing will probably fall out from under me like the Titans have this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" We went with Metallic Burgundy instead.

So thats what a QB looks like............. making up shit now so I can get to 75 words. I am just happy to be watching in HD on my own TV and drinking good scotch. I refuse to let the Titans shitty play disrupt my home coming.

Its got to be an omen. We had our inaugural 5 on 5 football game. I sported my Keith Bulluck away jersey and we stomped the opposing team 8-3. I had a 45 yard TD reception (on a 50 yard field) and 2 passes defended. Had a great time and I am convinced that in some small way this bodes well for the Titans! Today is the day we turn it around, I have no doubt in my mind.

Officials Worry NY Terror Plot 'Still Alive' as Case Broadens

This is not a very cool time for our boys to be traveling to NY. I have been following this since it broke and its really looking pretty ugly.

From ABC news.

Law enforcement officials say the alleged terror plot against New York City may be "still alive" despite the arrest of its alleged ringleader, 24-year-old Najibullah Zazi of Denver, Colorado.

"I have never been so worried," said one senior law enforcement official with more than a dozen years of experience in counter-terrorism investigations.

In Washington, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin to law enforcement authorities urging vigilance at so-called "soft targets" including sports stadiums and luxury hotels.

ABCNews.com reported Monday that Zazi's computer contained information relating to New York area baseball and football stadiums and a video of Grand Central Terminal in New York.

Steve McNair...... Role Model?

The next person I hear whine and moan about Steve McNair not being a good role model for their kids should be smacked upside the friggin head. Here is an idea……. You want a moral role model for your kids, how bout you man up and provide it.

Steve McNair was a FOOTBALL PLAYER. He is not your kid’s daddy or Granddad or uncle. He was and will remain my favorite player and IMO did provide many worthwhile qualities to admire and attempt to emulate. People question whether he will be a HOF QB. I doubt it but I hope he does make it. Steve McNair was so much more than just the numbers. What made Steve truly special was his heart, courage, leadership and his ability to face overwhelming adversity head on while ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD. I remember watching the games when he was a Titan and Steve would be having a shitty game. I would look at my wife and tell her “Damn, I think Steve needs to get dinged up so he will focus”. Fourth Quarter would come around and sure enough, Steve, bruised and battered by then, would put the team on his shoulders and will them into the end zone. That man was as close to being a TRUE Warrior as any football player ever will be.

My morals were already formed well before I was a Steve McNair fan. My Dad and My Granddads had already instilled in me what it meant to be a good father and husband. I set my kids morals no one else. TV and Sports personalities are entertainment PERIOD. If you are lucky, for 60 minutes on Sunday you might find a guy almost as good as Steve who can be a graphic example and provide a teaching point for you and your kids on what it means to show courage, be a leader and fight through adversity.

White maybe better than CJ this year

I know this is almost blastfamy but I would really not be surprised to see Lendale have a better season this year than CJ. Between what appears to be a very productive off season so far from White in the conditioning area and just seeming to not take things for granted and be genuinely hungry (no pun intended), while CJ seems more interested in running his mouth than running plays. I cant help but think CJ is in for a very rude second season. I hope I am wrong but it wouldnt surprise me.

Salary Caps

Alots being made of re-signing Albert. I would love to see him stay in TN but I am curious and concerned as to how it would effect contracts with other players, existing Titans such as Courtland and CJ as well as future possible WRs (our biggest need IMO). I agree with what I have heard from the Titans staff about it taking time to groom a collage player to be a be a top rate WR so that leaves signing a free agent that can make a dfference. Free agents are expensive. Free agent WRs have egos and attitudes. How does this all play out. Personally I would love to see a Detroit defection. Not sure if its possible but you at least know he would be hungry.

Dominating Dishcloth

Its no big surprise by now that I think the whole Terrible Towel stomping incident is WAY over blown. That being said I think we should start planing for the inevitable onslaught of those things if we end up hosting the Steelers again. Maybe one of you enterprising types can design a two tone blue towel with the flaming thumbtack on it and get it marketed before the championship game. It would give our fans some balance against what we saw on Sunday. What do ya think?

These people are losing thier minds. I cant wait to see the second round. So far we are comparing this to the US flag getting stomped and rules of engagement in a war. Do these fans really have any grasp of reality. WTF.

I have read all the hype on both sides about the towel stomping incident and to be perfectly honest with you I just dont get it, and this is why. If one of my Titans players had done this in your house I would be seriously pissed. I cant ever see that as happening but still. That being said, LP Field was full of those towels. That is OUR HOUSE and in our opinion that is every bit as disrespectful as anything Lendale, Kearse, or Bulluck did. The way I see it is this, the "Terrible Towels" exist for two reasons, one is to show support for your team (which I absolutely understand) and two, to get inside your opponents heads. Now if you are doing that at home, thats one thing. If you bring it to someone else's house and and try that IMHO dont be surprised or offended when the tables get turned. Its called football with an attitude ie. Smashmouth.

If there is another view point I would honestly like to hear it. Not trolling at all I actually like the Steelers and like I said in some other posts, I think your fans and specifically this blog are among the best on SBN. I am just trying to understand what the big deal is.
