So I've had this topic on my mind for some time now, but wanted to wait until the off season to pose this question to HH.  I'm a 20-something college grad in the midst of one of those awesome quarter life identity crises, and at times my thoughts have turned to my future...

I'd love to have a family someday, and because of my undying love for baseball and all things Angels, I have every intention of raising my children to be baseball fans.  Now here is my conundrum: because of the career path I intend to take, there is little chance of knowing where I will settle down.  I grew up in Cypress, and always called the greater Long Beach area my home, but currently I live in Sacramento.  One things my friends and I all had growing up was the Angels.  It was a common bond, and to this day remains an important one even though few of us live in Southern California anymore.

My question to you all, and maybe some have even grappled with this issue yourself, is whether you'd allow or support your kid to route for a team other than the Angels.  Now don't get me wrong, my offspring will LOVE the Angels whether they like it or not, however, I would hate to have them miss out on the special kind of bonding I did in grade school because the local sports team is not their father's favorite.  The Angels are an important reason why I'm proud of where I'm from, and it is my hope that my kids can be proud of wherever they may end up being from too.  What do you all think about this?  I'd love to hear peoples' feedback or personal stories regarding this issue!

What did Santa/Hanukkah-Man/Flying-Spaghetti-Monster bring you this holiday season?  I know it's been a trying year, but hopefully we were all able to give and get a little Halo gear this winter.  I am now the proud owner of an official Angels Snuggie, and I know I'm going to be warm next October if ya catch my drift.  Did anyone else give or receive any fun Angels stuff this year?

so i've been all talk for a few years now... i've said that if the angels won the world series again i'd get an angels tattoo.  probably nothing big, i figured just the A with the years 2002 and 2008(hopefully!!!) underneath.  And then every year after that they won the series i would add the year.  kind of a sentimental way of keeping track of our favorite team's glory.  i've never been tatted up before, and i figured it would go some place rather discreet.  maybe square on my ass?  is this a totally ridiculous idea, or totally awesome?  if i go through with it i'd definitely post pics for all to see, but does anyone else have any angels tattoos that they could show off or have thought about getting?  this has been a pretty real possibility the past few years as the angels have gone to the playoffs, but none more than this year in my opinion.  this team is pretty legit top to bottom and on the brink of 100 wins.  let me know what you guys think. 

also, does anyone else have any special plan that they've been putting off till the angels win another ring?  for example, my dad has been talking about cracking open this expensive bottle of tequila if they go the distance.  i don't mean to jinx the team, but this stuff must have crossed someone else's mind...
