Grew up in a state with no major pro sports team, but I saw Larry battle Magic and it was all over. Later, I rooted for the Blazers against the Bulls and was all about Clyde the Glide. Maybe it was a subconscious influence when I moved to Portland in 1998 and fell in love with (and married) a woman who has a bedazzled Blazer hat that Kevin Duckworth's wife used to make for kids that met the players at the Hillsboro airport. Love this town and this team. RIP CITY!
