and Bruce Hurst is the scout for the Sox as i learned yesterday?

may sound a bit boring to you but that is big news for Sox fans over here.

a young guy (RHP, 20) who played in our youth team (amateur club, germany)  was coming to training yesterday and asked me if i know somebody called Bruce Hurst.

you can bet i know him i told him and asked why.

it seems that there is a clinic/scouting day today around the corner with some MLB scouts and Mr. Hurst is there for the Sox.

at least that is what i was told. i hope it is not a prank or mean joke.

well, besides the other hardcore Sox fan on my team who is equally nervous at his work right now nobody knew him at all.

i did not knew that he is a scout but now i am very excited and hope i can go a bit earlier from work to make a short visit to the field but it does not look to good right now.

Bruce Hurst...he had some good years with the Sox as i remember...i would really like to see him and get him to throw a ball to me.

as you can see you do not need a lot to get the Red Sox Nation excited over here : )

but i think i will stay to long at work and so i can only wish the young guy all the luck in this world that his dream come true and somebody may show interest in him and give him the opportunity to play some real baseball (besides the MFY).

i hope this was not just a bad joke.

if this really happens i will give an exclusive scouting report about the newest Red Sox member (it is not very probable that anybody gets signed but who knows) even when the Sox take somebody else out of this event ( as long as i know the guys).

but u never can have enough good arms in the organization, right ?

There is so much talk about trade or not to trade so i would like to hear how should the Sox Playoff-Roster look like?

It is early to make such a decision, but Theo hast to do it now so we can join the fun.

Always in mind that we go to the Playoffs, these guys will be healthy in October and that the performance do not fall dramatically (if possible at all Mr. Drew and Mr. Lugo ; -)
