I hope you're right and I hope he is as "grateful" as Smith seems to be and that shows up in the final deal.

Agreed. Still trying to stir the pot. Can't let the Cowboys off too easy. Either we would have paid too much (stupid) or paid too little (greedy exploitation). Can't win.

Not to mention the risk/reward from a PR standpoint doesn't appear to be worth it.

I don't think it's 10 years. I think it's this year plus 8 more.

Romo's getting $6 million/year more than Tron. How is that too close?

Please no! Didn't we learn anything for Austin and Ware?

Hypothetically would you rather have the Texans D line or our O line?

The O line standing on donuts looks like an ankel injury waiting to happen. Think I would have passed on that idea.

I wouldn't extend anyone before Jason. Powerful message that the HC is working hard without a contract and so should they.

Offense adding Martin and Street while getting rid of Austin with another TC under their belt is probably a yes.

The article said the police were concerned for their safety because they thought he was inciting the group. The judge apparently agreed the actions could have started a riot.

Maybe if one on one, but if said to a crowd to incite civil disobedience or a riot, I think it loses it's constitutional protection.

and I'm saying where maybe he wasn't being truthful about Wade, I believe he is being truthful about Jason. It's a much different situation and like it or not, Jerry is evolving.
Commented on Jerry Jones Is Staying The Course With Jason Garrett on Jul 25 2014, 2:41p - 1 reply
And that's the crux of the question for this article. It's not that they don't believe him; they don't want to believe him.
Commented on Jerry Jones Is Staying The Course With Jason Garrett on Jul 25 2014, 2:37p
You can't begin to compare the relationship Jerry has with Jason to whatever he had with Wade. It's apples and oranges.

As I said higher up, just like with Bryant the extension is going to happen. Jerry is still working out the details in his mind for how many years and how much money.

Besides the obvious advantages due to the climate, southern California is a huge market and without a team in LA it makes sense to keep the Oxnard connection.

for Yes. It is something that sets the team apart, and a great reason to go visit California.

The only reason Jerry hasn't given Jason a new contract is because he hasn't decided how much or how long - 2, 5, or 10 years.

I think if the team goes 10-6 or 11-5 with this schedule it will be a major accomplishment and the coaching should get a lot more credit than just meeting it's "potential".

Jerry and Stephen knew they were us against it with aging players and cap problems but the appearance of rebuilding is anathema to Jerry.
