With alberto gonzales being the utility infielder, there are many free agents out there we could also consider am i right? looking at a list of free agents i have come up with a list of possibilities. now ill admit that i don't know our financial capability of signing a free agent, but i am interested to see what you guys think about my list of players. if any of these guys have been signed recently i apologize and please let me know. my list is a few days old, and it could be in accurate as of today. here is the list:

Red Cup Rebellion Ole Miss Adds one more to 2012 football signing class

according to multiple sources, including ben garrett of OMspirit.com, Crete, ILL Defensive back Anthony Standifer chose Ole Miss Tonight, making him the 18th member of the recruiting class. Standifer is a 6'1 178 LB cornerback. He is Rated a 3 star recruit by rivals.com. This Looks to be a pretty important signing for us. we were in desperate need of some DB's and it looks as though we got another guy to add to the rotation next season.

Burnt Orange Nation This Quarterback Play is Unacceptable

This season the amount of excitement for Texas football was more than i have seen it in a very long time. From the new coaching staff, to all of the impact freshman coming to the 40 acres, this year had, and still has the potential to be a very successful year for the longhorns. I don't know about most of you guys, but an 8-4 regular season would be more than satisfactory to me. However, it frustrates me to see the Texas Quarterbacks under perform so greatly, especially over the last 2 weeks, considering the talent around them. I know that Jaxon Shipley, who is probably the best receiver on the roster is out, and that is a major factor, but this is border line ridiculous. Its disappointing when you see other quarterbacks around the country with less talent around them, with inferior coaching staffs out perform the texas quarterbacks. For example, Utah State's Quarterback Chuckie Keeton, a true freshman, has passed for 1200 Yards with 11 TDs and 2 Ints, and has a quarterback rating of 137.4 on the season. Next, Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville has completed 65.8% of his passes for 1614 Yds and 9 Tds. Meanwhile Case Mccoy and David Ash have combined for 1505 yds, 7 Tds, 8 Ints, completing 59% of their passes. It seems to me that Texas best option at quarterback is john paul floyd. Just kidding haha. But really, IMO, Connor Brewer has to enroll in the spring, and be THE GUY for the Longhorns next season.

Burnt Orange Nation Connor Brewer and Jonanthan Gray 7 On 7

Connor Brewer and Johnathan Gray Playing 7 On 7 together on Espn U right now, the game is just about over, and there is a few things that I have noticed. Connor brewer has had a few accuracy issues, but he led his team, "team super bad", down the field in crunch time with a chance to take the lead, but they could not convert. Jonathan gray, who was Brewers favorite reciever for the most part through out the game, showed tremendous receiving ability in this game, making a tremendous catch for a touchdown early in the second half. It makes me even more excited to have him next year if he can bring that to Bryan harsins offense. Overall I was pretty satisfied with brewer, despite some of his mistakes, and Gray was as impressive as a running back can be in 7 on 7. They should make great teammates. Hook Em

Burnt Orange Nation Steve Adazzio to be named OL coach

"Steve Adazzio, the OL coach at Florida during the Gators' national title runs in 06 and 08, will be the OL coach at Texas, Orange bloods has learned" OrangeBloods.com just sent me this text message 15 minutes ago. They are a very reliable source for things like this so I expect we will hear an official announcement soon. Personally I think this is a great hire. The Florida offensive line has been very successful over the last 5 or six years. What do you think?

Texas to offer DC job to tennessee DC?

Which adds more credence to the reports put forth by FootballScoop.com and FootballRumorMill.com that Texas is close to offering the job to Tennessee DC Justin Wilcox. Wilcox came to Knoxville from Boise State (Broncos OC Bryan Harsin is also a possible Longhorns target) after turning down the same job at Texas A&M. There is some chatter on Tennessee message boards that he does not get along with DL coach Chuck Smith and that he told coach Derek Dooley that one of them would have to go. Could Wilcox be the one to leave?

List of Free Agent Qbs the cowboys could sign in romo's absence

Tom Brandstater Jeff Garcia

Jp Losman Brooks Bollinger

Chris Simms Dante Culpepper

Jamarcus Rusell (LOL)  Joey Harrington

Not alot to chose from guys, and i dont think kitna will last very long, he looks like he cant even get a first down. Jeff Garcia might be a good Choice. we need to at least be able to get a first down. i guess we will see what happens. anyone else have any ideas on what we could do at QB in the interim?

Burnt Orange Nation Florida's loss at home to Ole Miss

Florida's loss at home to Ole Miss

i know yall probably dont agree with me but ole miss is not exactly the laughing stock of the sec any more. we did beat florida at home, and we could easiley be undefeated or at the worst 9-2. i mean we lost on a last second feild goal to wake after a bogus pass interference call to lose by 2, against vandy we lost by six after turning over the ball 6 times including 2 fumbles inside the red zone. we blew a double digit lead to south carolina to lose by 7. and we lost by 4 to alabama and we had the ball last and we were drivivng very well until snead threw a pick. so we are not a joke, and i would apprciate everyone (not reffering to everyone in this blog, more like everyone in college football who is not an ole miss fan) referring to that as a terrible loss for florida. didnt anyone see us beat lsu 31-13 this weekend?

Mccoy was unbelievable. orakpo was a sick nasty freak. is there anyone who can stop us? obbanaya ( i know i misspelled it) was great to. if we continue to show this kind of balance i really believe that no one can stop us. i think we are far and away the best team in the country right now. your thoughts?
