That's what we call a tease. The FieldTurf has arrived in Fresno, and Pat Hill was stoked enough to offer some commentary about some changes sure to stoke the interest of the uni-obsessed.

Barry Tompkins, the voice of a multitude of top boxing fights and other broadcasts, signed on to team with former Wyoming coach Joe Glenn for 9 games on the WAC Sports Network. The channel will broadcast the Fresno State Bulldogs' matchups with both the Nevada Wolf Pack and Hawai'i Warriors, as well as 2 other Fresno State games and 3 other Nevada games.

Cheeseandcorn of Corn Nation set aside some time to help me take a look at the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who will host the Fresno State Bulldogs on September 10.

A couple of the contributors to SB Nation's California Golden Blogs were kind enough to spare a little time in helping to preview the Cal Golden Bears, in advance of their season opener against the Fresno State Bulldogs on September 3.

In case you can't get enough of the 2008 Wonderdogs (like me!), this book is on sale now. Buyer beware, though, the illustrations leave something to be desired.

To go along with the free Blue Ribbon preview of the Air Force Falcons, ESPN also provided a free Insider look at a WAC team as well: Greg McMackin's Hawai'i Warriors, who will be moving to the Mountain West next year. The rest of the WAC is hidden behind the Insider paywall, so Fresno State and Nevada fans will need to pay to see those previews.

The rest of the Mountain West teams are hidden behind the ESPN Insider paywall, but the Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook has provided a free look at Troy Calhoun's Air Force team. It's worth a look, in my opinion.
