Tell me the Pacific Division is not the toughest in the NHL this year.
Just took a quick look at the standings this morning, and far and away the Pacific divisions race is the tightest not only in the West but by far in the East as well. Struggles this year may be more of a symptom of our strong division than weak play. I'm sure this has been discussed more than it's fair share in the comments but today's standing brackets are a great example of the race.

The Weekend of Kaberle Thread
Well, I figured that with the current understanding in the rumor mill being that the Sharks are in fact one of the teams with a serious interest in trading for Tomas Kaberle, I would begin a weekend of contemplation for us here at Fear The Fin in this very thread.
1. Do you think the Sharks are actually in on this weekends Kaberle festivities?
2. Who would you like to go to Toronto if a trade did in fact occur?
3. Do you think Doug Wilson can pull off another "upset" trade? (Something in the way of Kent Huskins going to Toronto)
4. We all know by now that the player that Toronto would probably be looking to get in exchange for Kaberle would be Ryane Clowe. Personal biases aside, do you think Kaberle is worth one of our top 6 in Ryan Clowe?
5. Who do you think could fill the roll of Ryane Clowe if he were to leave? (We don't have too many big forwards with the scoring ability of Clowe in our minor league system)
6. Am I way ahead of myself with the questions in this thread?
7. Anyone still here?
If not any of these questions, what are your personal takes on anything and everything involving what COULD go down this weekend?

Sharks.NHL.Com has Marleau as Capt. and Heatley + Thornton A's
Link to the roster report for tonight's game that I found the information in is posted below. I Thought this would be fun to speculate about seeing as Heater just got into town today and has participated in only a practice. Also I wonder if Marleau has stepped up his leadership game. This could just be what they selected to put for tonight's game but do you really think they would have chosen both alternates as scratched players for the night? What you guys think? More specifically, do you think this could be the setup for the season, and secondly what do you think if Heatley were to be and alternate?
