Bleed Cubbie Blue Wait 'till next year.

When the Cubs clinched the Central, I made a little bet with one of my friends. I lost. After the fold is the piece I wrote after losing the bet. Normally, I am just a lurker and occasional commenter here. But I put a little work into this and thought I would share with other Cubs fans and get your reaction.

Bleed Cubbie Blue Thanks Al

Al,

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your work on this site. Even in the off-season you update and add to this site more often than currently playing teams and even blogs in general.

On top of that you are actually find interesting and new information on a regular basis. I enjoy reading this blog and check it out at least once every day and wanted to give you the old "Atta boy" to encourage you to keep up the good work.

Now my question: what's up with the new logo on the upper left? Is it in honor of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre? Or is it your new logo suggestion for the Cubbies? It would make us more intimidating, that's for sure. I mean that happy prancing spaced-out blue cub ain't scaring anyone. The Bulls didn't win until they put the blood on the bull's horns. Maybe a new logo is the answer?

Windy City Gridiron Benson injury

"Chicago Tribune reporter K.C. Johnson is reporting that the MRI test revealed only a strained medial collateral ligament in Benson's right knee and that he'll be sidelined for three to six weeks.

The test showed no damage to any of the other ligaments and no damage
to the meniscus."

I was at the game yesterday and the replay on the big screen looked bad. This is as good of news as I could have expected. He could be back a few weeks berfore playoffs. Hadn't seen this news so it is good.

Blog a Bull Game 1: Bobcats

7:30 Home game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Bobcats are a young team with Okafor and two lottery picks (Sean May and "Everybody loves" Raymond Feltond). A very beatable team that has many similarities to our own a few years back.

The Bulls swept the Bobcats last year in all four games but have had some unfortunate opening night luck the past 8 years (1-7).

Chris Duhon will play tonight but the Bulls will be short Pargo. The Bobcats will be without Center Jake Voskuhl.

One F's pick to click tonight: Luol Deng

To a good year!
