Golden State Of Mind NBA Draft talk

There has been quite a bit of Tank talk lately and the reason for that is obviously the draft. First off, Warriors keep on sucking and get that top 7 pick, that would be fantastic. That pick though is not the focus of this Fan post. The focus of this post is the 1st rounder that will be in the 24-27 range. The question is who should the Warriors get and why?

4. Monta Ellis' on/off court net rating past four seasons: minus-3.2, minus-7.4, minus-11.5, minus-1.9

Despite his gaudy point totals, the Golden State Warriors have been better with Ellis sitting on the bench for each of the past four seasons, as evidenced by his yearly net ratings. This season, the Warriors have not only been better, but they've been a winning team with Ellis riding the pine, outscoring opponents 682-679 with their so-called franchise player absent.

Ellis continues to be one of the more explosive and talented scoring guards in the league, but he needs to find a team with a stellar defensive frontcourt to mask his gambling and otherwise underwhelming defense. Because it's not working out in Golden State. It hasn't worked out for years. Every time I watch the Warriors these days, I can't help but think of the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Will the Warriors cut a deal and stop running in place?

What do you think Warriors Fans? Time to make a big move to get much worse or much better? Get out of mediocrity

Yeah I know every Warriors fan has their opinion on what they need to do, to get out of this rut of mediocrity. Some people beg for us to tank, others for a big trade, and others say stand pat and get healthy try to pick up some center in free agency.

I see the two biggest problems as the warriors do not have a clear all-star that makes the All-Star every year. Some people might argue that Monta or Lee(former all-star) but they have proven they are not winners and winning is important to All-Stardom. The other major problem is Andris Biedrins contract 9 million a year for very minimal production.

The trade:

Warriors trade:Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins, Dorrell Wright

Charlotte trades: Boris Diaw, Corey Maggette, Eduardo Najera, Gerald Henderson

Why the Warriors do it: It leaves the Warriors a lot of cap flexibility over the next two years. You get rid of the garbage that is Biedrins and maybe you actually come with a front office plan to bring in a star. Also GSOMers could start the Viva NAJERA movement back up and show our support for the Red, White and Green.

Why Charlotte does it: They get the best player in the deal in Monta. They also get rid of Corey Spaghetti's contract which is large but is only two years. They still won't have too much talent that they will lose their top 4 draft pick, so they can match that pick up with Monta, Biyombo, Tyrus Thomas and Kemba Walker/Augustin. That is not a bad line up especially if they can get someone like Harrison Barnes.

So who is with me....

Golden State Of Mind A possible trade idea

The trade

Corey Maggette, Mikki Moore, Raja Bell, and Speedy Claxton to the Knicks for Wilson Chandler, Jared Jeffries, and Eddy Curry

Obviously this trade would have to happen after Mikki is allowed to be traded, and now why each does it.

Poll
Do you think this trade is possible and/or a good idea?
Yes and Yes both possible and good
