Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Joke

Heres a joke to start the morning off with. A UConn fan and a Syracuse fan were talking: UConn Fan: Man, Syracuse sucks! Syracuse Fan: Well they were good enough to beat your defending national champ asses three times this season! UConn Fan: Yeah but just barely! Syracuse Fan: still counts as a win x 3 UConn Fan: Well how about our 3 national titles to your 1!! Syracuse Fan: Oh forget it... just make it a large fry

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Sports cards

anyone else collect sports cards? Of course I collect our Orangemen. Hak is my main focus but I go for all of our Orangemen. Latest pickup, 2005 press pass Walter Reyes autograph. Between football and hoops there are a few dozen sets produced a year so Lord knows theres enough Orange to go around. And of course ebay makes all those low numbered hard to find card all that more attainable. Any other Orange card collectors out there?

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Sat's Colgate game on ESPN3

After watching last week's game on SNY I was hoping for a repeat. DEE - Nied!! The game is available to watch but its on ESPN3, which isnt all that bad. I had minimum lag using a DSL connection for the Akron game so it really could be worse for us. Only complaint I had was watching that damn Wall Street trailer over and over.... and over.

So mark it! 3:30 this Sat on ESPN3!!

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician espn3

OK I give. It seems the absolute ONLY way to watch the Akron game is on ESPN3. I would like to hear testimony from anyone whos used it already. How much does it cost and is it worth it. If its just going to freeze up all the time please let me know so I won't get pissed off and have to throw things. All that energy is saved for when our boys give up a TD.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Hold Everything!!

Announcer A:  We're taking you live now to Lebron's morning press conference where it appears he HAS come to a final decision.

Lebron: I've weighed my options and I've come to a final decision. It was a tough one. There were many options available that would have greatly benefitted me, my family and my career. This morning I've decided to eat breakfast at........ McDonalds"

*video of local McDonalds staff going nuts*

Announcer B: WHOA!!!! What a shocker!!! We were thinking Hardees all the way but in the end he went with the Golden Arches

Announcer A: Look at the Hardees staff. They are stunned!!

Announcer C: Well we knew it was going to be fast food. Denny's, IHOP they were out because he just doesnt have time to sit down for breakfast like that.

Announcer A: It was going to be fast food indeed. I just don't thinkk any of us expected it to be this one.

Announcer B: I was with you on Hardees all the way. Their service is better. Their biscuits are fluffier. Just a better overall choice. And an obvious one to me.

Announcer A: Well apparrently Lebron knows something that none of us do. Congratulations to McDonalds!! We're gonna take you live to the owner of the local McDonalds now....

McDs Owner: I'm just proud. Both proud and excited. *holds back tears* You dream of a day like this. I'm just happy for our staff here. We're very excited and looking forward to Lebron's arrival

Announcer A: Well there you have it. After hours of dileberation we can all rest easy now.

Announcer C: I thought if there was going to be a Cinderella it'd be Burger King. Burger King - King James. It just had a nice feel to it

Announcer A: Join us again tomorrow where we'll be live from Lebron's garage as he decides on which car to drive

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Contest Archive

Just a thought. Sean should archive all of these contest entry photos and archive them. Maybe tab them for future reference. I'm sure its much easier said than done and would take some time to finish. But its been great seeing everyone's orange relics and hearing the stories behind them. Why not put them all in one place? Your thoughts?

An extra sentence just to make this post meet the required 75 words........

I'll start with the best damn valentines present I ever got. My wife got these for me the first year we were together. McNabb on the left. Jim Brown on the right.

 Gmacjersey_medium

Also a present from my wife. She knew how much I loved GMac and got this for me back in '06.

 Rhodesjersey_medium

Yes thats Damien Rhodes. I haven't seen a jersey (with sewn on #s) worth a damn that I'd consider buying since 2004 so this is my most "recent" football jersey.

 Lloydjersey_medium

Every time I wear this out it passes off as a bad ass Melo throwback. Surely it didn't fool any of you .... heh heh heh. I bought this back in '95. Every one else had Moten (as did I) or Wallace so I wanted to get someone different. To the "Cuse fan who posted that sweet Cipolla getup, I'll see your Jason Cipolla and raise you a Michael Lloyd. After 15 years it still looks bad ass.

Don't laugh. A few years ago my wife bought these for herself (yes you read that right) to keep her feet warm while watching Cuse football and hoops. Yes, she has a jersey too. Its the block letter design hoops jersey with #21 on it. If only she cold yank those socks up to her knees to complete the outfit.

 96finalfour_medium

Other than those 2 helmets in the first picture this is by far my favorite Orange relic. Its the Monday edition of USA today after our boys knocked off Kansas in the Elite 8 to advance to the Final Four back in '96. Thats Otis Hill on the front yanking a rebound from Raef Lafrentz. Inside is a Final Four preview with plenty of names we havent heard in years; Lazarus Simms, JB Reafsnyder, etc. Ive kept it all these years and I seriously need to find something like a plastic cover or something to keep it in.

I have 2 more to post. Gotta do some digging to get them out

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Expansion thoughts

OK I'm stayed mum on this issue for the most part, other than to say 'I dont like it'. But here are some things to chew on. First and foremost, throw money out of the equation. That has no bearing what-so-ever on the points I want to make.

I'm not a huge fan of the over saturrated Big East basketball conference. I was happy with the conference pre-WVU, VPI and Rutgers. But I got used to it. Long story short you can't put a price on our rivalries with UConn, Georgetown and Nova. If you disagree, you havent been a 'Cuse fan for very long. And scheduling them out of conference won't cut it either. Hell, I wasnt happy to only play Nova and the Huskies once this season. I want a game at their place and ours. Neither the Big 10 nor the ACC for that matter offers even one rivalry that can compete with those three. Not geographically, not historically - Period. Basketball fans live for rivalries like that. At least I do.

As far as football goes think about this. We're rebuilding; no question about it. The rest of the Big East has been sticking it to us for the past 5 years. If our program is on the rise, do you really want to miss out on some payback? How sweet will it be to stick it to USF, WVU, Pitt and Cincy? The point is, we've been a bottom feeder for so long that I want to see us on top again, but on top of the Big East.  I don't give half a rat's testicle about the Big 10. Could care even less about the ACC. I want our boys to be bad ass again - in our own damn conference. I want to get back to beating the shit out of teams we used to beat the shit of on a regular basis, starting with Rutgers.

Don't make the move to the Big 10. We dont fucking belong there.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Cincy gettng clobbered not good for the BE

My God its like I got an extra game of Orange football. Whats worse is that the Beast needed this win bad. All the Big East haters are chomping at the bit as I type this. I f figured that high powered Cincy Offense would have at least put a TD or two on the board by halftime. But 30-3?? Jeeeez. The Bearcats cannot stop Tebow and Co. on offense. Pikes been pressured, hit, sacked, pummeled for the first two quarters. This is embarassing to watch. Hell, maybe theres a rerun of Bones on or something. Come on Cinncinatti!!! The Big East needs this one!!

.... Son of a bitch.... I was just about to publish this and the Gators are already knocking on the door again
