Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Peter king and Shefter reporting Schiano to the Bucs??

How do we feel about this? Is it a vevil you know vs a devil you dont know thing? The guy is a HELL OF A RECRUITER, but could NEVER do anything with the talent. 2006 fell into his lap.

How do we feel about this as SU fans. We can only hope for a GRob hire to send them back to oblivion. But wht if *gulp* they actually get an x's o's guy who knows what he is doing.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Syracuse @ Rutgers (RAC) Feb 19th SOLD OUT....

So yeah, i wasnt expecting that. I mean the great invasion from 2009 was on a weekend in January, but it wasnt sold out. None of the other SU games at the RAC have been sellouts either (I have been to all of them). I tried buying tix Friday, but their site would let me. I tried again today, and right on the top, they list it as a sellout.

Anyone else planning on attending? I am going to go the stubhub route I guess. I am thinking a HEAVY Orange crowd.

In summary,

Whats the significance? <Pee Wee Herman Voice> I DON'T KNOW </end Pee Wee Herman Voice>

In all seriousness, we have a lot of catching up to do. If we got the money TODAY and plans were ready TODAY and we started construction TOMORROW, it would still be about 3 years before any of this is usable. We need to get going, or we will be stuck in mediocrity for another decade.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician SU vs Rutgers at the RAC 2/19

Well, as expected, this game is not for sale as an individual game.  Ever since the takeover of 2009, it was to be expected.  What's odd is its not even included in their crappy 6 game pack.  The good thing though is, this game is on a Sunday, I believe during Presidents weekend?  We should get a big Alumni turnout.  Any official Occupy the RAC type event set up?  I'm hoping for a big turnout.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician College Gameday NYC Bar Crawl

Only did bars/watch parties of top 10 teams in BCS Kstate, Clemson, Notre Dame, Okie State, Boise State, Oregon, LSU, Bama, Oklahoma, Stanford, and Wisconsin, How lame the segment was awful.

Go Cuse, Beat Ville, Rutgers sucks, will get spanked by 14+ and yeah its snowing here in central jersey, its freezing, and I couldnt imagine sitting outside for 3-4 hours to watch a game like this.  For you guys clamoring for an ourtood stadium, you're crazy

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Ohio (Bobcats) Get Black Jerseys and flip the eff out (video)

For all the old fogies and old farts who insist on staying with tradition and refusing to even consider new jerseys, watch this video.  If you think that kids dont appreciate and get amped up about the Nike Pro Combat, and the Under Armor Maryland then I have to assume you never played sports.  I mean seriously, watch this video, the unis arent even that nice, and the kids flip out.

I myself am looking forward to the day when SU is good enough to warrant some special jersey treatment from Nike.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Mike Francessa on Rutgers (Reality Check)

Mike (WFAN in NY) speaks the truth here.  KILLS AN RU CALLER LOL.  I'm glad he said it, it was true.

LOL Go Cuse!  I am a few words short.  So in summary, SU is great, Rutgers sucks, we are headed to the ACC where we will prosper.  I hope Swofford can add ND and UConn and call it a day.  The Big10 is not addidng RU.  Addition by subtraction.  Lets go Cuse.  Lets go Orange

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Can Swofford get Notre Dame and PSU??

So its been said online that any expansion allows the ACC to renegotiate their contract with ESPN.  Is it possible that Swofford is a genius and has been in talks with ESPN for figures on a new deal to add Notre Dame and PSU.  He then floats those figures to both PSU and Notre Dame to think about.

While waiting on PSU and Notre Dame, Swofford goes out and gets SU and Pitt, to go along with BC.  Now he can go back to Notre Dame and PSU and be like "whats up now bitches?"

Does ESPN back up the truck to get a true East Coast Conference together?  Wikipedia says the NBC Notre Dame deal is through 2015. Thoughts?  Could this be in the works?

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician WHen does the ACC cut us our First Check? New Indoor Facility

Becuase the first thing that should be happening this am (After signing all the paperwork) is dusting off the plans for that new indoor football practice field and training complex.  I am not even kidding.  Lets get this momentum going.  Schedule a press conference on monday with the renders and everything.

Something similar to this, Auburns new Facility ($16.5 Mil)

I need 75 words, so Go Cuse, Go Orange

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician In retrospect, Marinatto Should have signed the ESPN deal...

All the teams would have had a solid revenue stream with stability.  Sign the deal with ESPN, increase exit fee's, thats how you maintain stability.  Does anyone else think that had the new deal with ESPN been signed, none of this happens today?

As for SU to the ACC, I am looking forward to it.  As an alum and fan.  Me and friends drove up to the dome in 2004 to see FSU, I would gladly do it again to see Miami, Vatech BC and Duke, UNC etc more often.  There BETTER not be attendance issues at the dome one we start play.

Lets Go Orange!

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Anyone finish a season in NCAA12 yet??

I just did.  Finished 12-1 with a 14-10 win over Boise in the Sugar Bowl.  Only loss was a 4 point loss to USC.  I play at All-American Level.  In all honesty I only quit once to avoid a loss.  Was trying to run up the score on Uconn and threw a pic in the endzone they returned all the way back for the win with les than 10 seconds left.

If my 1st dynasty season under NCAA is any indication -

RU will suck this year.  They finished last in the Big East with 1 win, and Schiano was fired lol.

Pitt will be good

Our offense will stink.  I was ranked last in almost every offensive category.

Our Defense is awesome.  I was ranked top 5 in almost every defensive category.

Bromley Lyn and Jones were beasts for me.

Bailey was having a nice year with 100+ yrads rushing for first 7 games, then broke something and was out the rest of the year. Gulley was a good backup.  Ameen-Moore was good too.

The receivers dropped everything :(.

Provo was a beast.

That is all. How did you guys do?

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Rutgers set to announce Footabll stadium naming rights deal...

The Rutgers athletics department announced this morning it has set up a Tuesday afternoon press conference “”to announce a naming rights partnership” for the Scarlet Knights’ football facility.

In recent years, Rutgers officials expressed reluctance to get tied into a longterm naming-rights deal, not wanting to undervalue New Jersey’s second-largest outdoor stadium during this downturn in the economy.

 Local story here

So, until its officially announced, anyone have any guesses what it could be, serious or strictly for humor...

Serious:

Valley National Bank Field

Hudson City Bank Field

Comedy (??)

Barrone Sanitation Stadium

Local 181 Pipefitters Field

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Would you trade Jim B retiring after this season, for a Nat Champ this season??

With all that is being made about Boeheims retirement talk yesterday, and the PC interest in Hopkins for their newly available HC job, would you trade a Nat Champ run (winning it all) this year if it meant JB HAD to retire after the parade?  Or would you be willing to ride out the next 2-5 years with JB at the helm and let destiny control if we win another or not, but be assured he was coaching those years?

thoughts?? I honestly don't know what I would choose.  What better way to transition to a new coach (top 10 recruiting class, lots of returning impact players, coming off a championship.  The downside could be disastrous though, Hop never lives up to expectations, we switch to man to man, the recruiting dries up, we fire Hop after 3 years, make a Grob like hire, and become Rutgers/Depaul.

Oh what to do lol

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Thursday Cuse/St Johns Tickets selling for more than any other session...

on stubhub.  Entry price is about $140.  Thats about 3 times as much as any other non semin final/final matchup, and two times as much as the semi/finals ticket prices.

Looks like the ST Johns bandwagon is in full swing.  Stubhubs completed sales are 140 ish all day in the rafters.  Sales completed today, so i dont think the game is all hype and star reaching from ticket owners.  Anyone here paying the entry fee and going?

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Jimmer Fredette PG (Glens Falls NY)

I know kids get over looked all the time, and diamonds get overlooked.  But this story is kind of interesting for a few reasons,

A) He is from Glens Falls right in SU's backyard

B) He led his HS team to Class A state finals against Peekskill team led by our very own Mookie Jones

The kid wasnt higly recruited (offers from BYU, Utah, Siena, and UMAss).

That being said, do you think this kid would be an asset to our Orange squad right now?  Would he put up the same stats he is doing at BYU and the MWC in the BE?  They are calling this kid a Steve Nash clone.  Given our problems at the PG position (i.e we dont have one), what do you guys think??? Does anyone know if we were actively recruiting him??

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician ESPN Paying Texas 300M over 20 years for the Longhorn Network

seriously, how can you compete with that.  $15 mil a year just for them. The network will be owned by ESPN and will show live athletic events, shoulder programming, and non sport UT content.

UT already makes $10mil a year through their multimedia rights company company, plus whatever they make for the Big12 (or whatever its called now).

Maybe this deal getting done lights a fire in the a$$ of Kansas, Kstate, and Mizzou to start sniffing the BE for a new home?  THAT is the best expansion scenario for the BE.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Miami (Ohio) Coach Pre-Game Speech at Go-Daddy Bowl

Did anyone catch this??  I wasnt trying to watch this dreadful bowl game, but I had just finished watching the Tim Tebow Year of the Quarterback special (was great by the way) on ESPN when i went to grab a drink in the kitchen.  Anyway, I never played organized football (baseaball coaches never gave speeches like this) and the closest i can get to this is movies and TV shows (Friday Night lights).  Anyway I thought it was a pretty cool pre game talk considering A) It was coming from a lame duck coaching staff, B) It's Miami of Ohio, C) It was the GoDaddy.com Bowl, D) Its a Mac vs Sun Belt Bowl.  Wonder what HCDM told them before the Pinstripe Bowl.  Think he went the Historic, traditional route?  Or the they ate your kids, and ravaged your wife/gf route lol.

If you didnt see it enjoy...

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Pinstripe Bowl...Which Sideline...

is Cuse going to be on?? The  3rd base or 1st base side??? Anyone know for sure?  I'm trying to get some tickets but I'd like to be on the right side.  Would rather not be surrounded by KState Fans.  Can anyone confirm which side we are on????  Anyone know how we can get this information????

Lets go orange.  Need a bowl win here.  Dont make me sit through a 20-6 borefest.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Pitt Sucks, I want the BCS Fiesta Bowl

Pitt is garbage now.  I want the BCS Fiesta Bowl.  We wont get blown out, HCDM will open the playbook ala Boise vs Oklahoma.  We are no worse than Pitt right now.  If we do get blown out, we wont get beat up by the Media too bad because all the talk will be about where this program has been traditionally/historically, where it was these past 4-5 years, and how amazing an alum is now coaching and got them to the BCS.

If we get blown out, we can spin it that it might have been a bit premature, but we can get there, and with a few more quality recruits, we can do some real damage.  Why wouldnt top recruits want to play in the BCS every year in a conf like the BCS where there is no UF, OSU etc??

BCS or Bust baby!!!!

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician If Mike Vick had come to Syracuse, would we still have had an awful past decade???

In light of that AMAZING performance yesterday, I got to thinking, if M. Vick had come to Syracuse (like he was supposed to) would SU Football continued to have gone to the crapper in the 2000's???

He Redshirted in 1998 (which he would have done here too as DM was still here.)  Lets say he would have stayed for 2 seasons.  I know VaTech embarassed us in 1999 (Believe Bullock said they were going to make him look like a frosh) and proceeded to lose 62-0 at Lane Stadium in front of a college game day crowd i think??

The 2000 game in the Dome was a better battle even though we still lost.  I was at that game, and seeing him rip off that 50+ yard run to seal the game in the 4th, you couldnt help but think he would have put up even BETTER stats on the carpet inside the dome if he played for Cuse.

That being said, lets say we would have gone to the Sugar Bowl in 99 and the gator Bowl in 2000.  Would our recruiting have increased, program have continued success??? or would vick just have delayed the inevitable by 2 years??  Thoughts???

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician If Syracuse wins @ UW next week, is that the HCDM turn around signature win for the program??

Like the title says, say we win @ UW next week.  Is that the signature, we are turned around, we are no longer a bottom feeder, signature win for HCDM and the Cuse program??  Will the media and pundits, argue that a now 2 loss UW team wasnt that good to begin with??  Are we getting ahead of ourselves? Does a HCDM turnaround the program signature win need to be against a BE team? On the road?? Maybe later in the season??  What are your thoughts???
