Someone from within the Kings organization (who is always one of the first to know of trades) told someone (that is related to me by blood) who told me that we shouldn't be surprised if a trade goes down before the deadline between the Kings and the Suns. The trade would be Amare for Kevin Martin and Kenny Thomas. If that were to happen - what does StR think?! I think its still a little too early to tell about the quality of the Tyreke-Martin combo, but I like the sound of a Tyreke-Amare combo better.

The Kings are currently tied for 8th place in the West. After some extensive research, I found the 100% of the teams ranked 8th place or better at this point in the season make the playoffs. This bodes well for the Kings. They should start preparing for the Suns. Once K-Mart returns, we could definitely see a strong climb in the standings towards a first round home-court advantage situation. I am very enthused.

My dad works for CVC Sports and is the one that does the jerseys for the Kings (as well as the Houston Rockets and 49ers). He had to deliver some jerseys today to the arena. While he was there, he met with some of the mid-management people in the Kings organization. My dad asked them why we made all the trades we did. The mid-managers had two strong but differing opinions. The first is that we are preparing to sign a big free agent this summer and next. The other opinion was that the Kings are preparing to move (which is a very costly process, hence the salary shedding). This opinion was a more popular one. They were saying that the likely destination would be Anaheim.

I obviously hope that the first opinion is the correct one. I believe that Sacramento needs the Kings. I know I do. I hope the NBA realizes/thinks that Sacramento is the best place for the Kings, and that they do whatever is necessary to keep them there.
