There have been many names that have come out over the last few days such as the early favourite Winston Moss, Dom Capers, Todd Bowles, Joe Philbin and apparently the Packers locker room attendant is also scheduled for an interview.
But there is one man that also has a history with the Packers and our new GM Reggie McKenzie and he is a man that the Raider Nation holds above all else aside from the great Al Davis.
This man is................

JON GRUDEN!

Whitlock sets the record straight on Hubris F Jackson
If you are like me you read Michael Silvers disgusting article on Mark Davis and his relationship with his father the great Al Davis.
An emotion greater than anger was what I felt when reading this article not so much as a Raider or staunch Davis family suporter but as a man. Even if portions of this article are true which is possible it is highly likely that much of it is interactions taken out of context by bitter ex-employees such as Hubris F Jackson himself. There is absolutely no justification to publicly attack a man and his relationship with his recently deceased father even with first hand knowledge let alone biased third and possibly fourth hand recounts.

Photo: Mark and Reggie took out the trash
Today a counter argument has been published by none other than Jason Whitlock which rightfully takes aim a Michael Silver and his disgusting article as well as Hubris Jackson and his self aggrandising nature.
READ THE ARTICLE HERE: The real reason Jackson's gone

NEWS REPORT: Knicks fill need at beard, moustache next?
With reports that Baron Davis has signed with the New York Knicks interim GM Glen Grunwald and coach Mike D'Antoni have filled a glaring need on the Knicks roster at beard and coach D'Antoni has said that their attention has turned to moustache.
"Obviously losing Turiaf's glorious face muffler was a huge blow to the franchise but we feel we have filled a need postion at beard with Baron's glorious reverse afro and other aquisistions like Tyson Chandler's chincheek fluff also help out in this area. Now we have taken care of beard we feel that adding some help at moustache in addition to my heavenly nut duster will put us in the drivers seat to push for a championship" D'Antoni said after practice
Early reports are that Grunwald has opened discussions with Josh Harrellson, but initial talks of a Groucho Marx were quickly rejected by Harellson's agent however the fanchise feels comfortable that they will be make a deal with Harrellson somewhere in the range of a Lanny McDonald.

Gary Speed has passed away

Devastating news that Gary Speed has committed suicide.
From http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/8918628/Wales-boss-Gary-Speed-found-dead.html
The former Leeds, Everton, Newcastle and Bolton midfielder was found hanged at his home in Chester this morning.
After hearing of the news, Manchester United striker Michael Owen, who lives near the star, tweeted: "Just cannot believe the news regarding Gary Speed. We waved at each other a couple of days ago dropping our kids off at school. I'm numb."
"The force later confirmed that the dead man was Speed."
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death the family have requested that they are left in peace to grieve at this difficult time. A family tribute will be released at a later date but not today.
"Officers went to the scene where a 42-year-old man was found dead. The next of kin have been informed and have confirmed the identity of the man as Gary Speed.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At 7.08am on Sunday 27 November 2011, Cheshire police was informed of a sudden death at an address in Huntington, Chester.
The Football Association of Wales confirmed the news, saying that Speed's family had authorised the release of the information.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the 42-year-old's death.
Gary moved to Newcastle from Leeds for an at the time huge sum of 5.5 million and went on to play in two FA Cup finals for the Magpies.
RIP Gary you left an indelible mark on Newcastle United.
JOBU PRAISE THREAD!
WHAT A FREAKING WIN!!!!
Holy crap I havent been so happy with a win for a long time.
It did get a little hairy in the second half but we had one more thing on our side than we did last week.
THE ALMIGHTY JOBU!

There was a rumor that Phil Rivers stole JoBu's Rum before the game and the he would incur the Mighty JoBu's wrath and did he ever - 6 SACKS BABY!! The mighty hand of JoBu was present through out the game notably the Lito out of bounds TD play, VJ running in to a wall of JoBu JuJu giving up on that deep ball and you can't tell me that Big Kam and Mike Bush were not at least slightly possessed by the spirit of the great JoBu.
Now Raider Nation join the almighty JoBu in a celebratory shot of rum, a victory Cigar, Praise him and humbly ask for his blessing against the Vikings next week.
YO BARTENDER JOBU NEEDS A REFILL!!!!!!

We will only go as far as our Defense takes us.
It has been a very emotional 10 days or so for the Raider Nation, Mr Davis passed away which has been especially hard on some of us like myself, we had an emotional victory in Houston followed by a victory at home against the Browns in which the unthinkable happened and our starting QB went down................
What today was really about - RIP COACH DAVIS
While many people were more concerned about the QB situation there was something much bigger going on the all true Raider fans will recognise.

Jano Charged
Well this sucks:
By Gary Peterson
Contra Costa TimesWALNUT CREEK -- Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski, who has lived a quiet off-field life the past seven years after a half-decade of routinely showing up on police blotters, has been charged with misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment against a woman in an incident alleged to have occurred last year, according to Contra Costa Superior Court documents.
Circumstances are unclear. The alleged victim, Syrena Nicholson, did not return messages left on her phone. The Raiders released a statement from chief executive Amy Trask that said "This incident occurred over a year ago, Sebastian was not arrested, we were aware of this matter and this is not news."
What is known comes from court documents in which Nicholson, 36, alleges Janikowski "did unlawfully violate (her) personal liberty" and "did willfully and unlawfully use force and violence upon (her) person" in Walnut Creek on Sept. 24, 2010 -- one day before Janikowski and the Raiders flew to Arizona for a game against the Cardinals. No arrest was made at the time; Nicholson, a Berkeley woman, filed her complaint after the fact.
Interesting that it was supposedly the day before the team left for the Arizona game where he missed the winning FG.

After camp 53 man roster projection
Now that camp is over I have spent some time going through the current roster and looking at what our 53 man roster might look like. The delicate balance with 53 man rosters is that inevitably there you get to a position where you have to make decisions as tow whether you keep that extra skill position player the fans want on the roster or do you keep that extra LB or lineman for depth. Luckily for us from looking at it I think pretty much all of our favourites will make the roster but as we all know we still lack some depth on some areas like LB and S. Luckily for us it seems that we have some versatile players that may be able to cover these spots which i will go in to further later.....
NEW D.MOORE, DEATH RO and M BUSH INTERVIEWS
Damn I love these guys.
We need a nickname for D.Moore.......
We got some HOF love on NFL.com
I just saw by NFL.com writer Adam Rank and thought it was not only 100% correct but had some very cool star wars/raider references.
Who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame?
Considering that the only thing left for my complete conversion to the dark side is getting into a light saber fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar, I have to say that it is a complete outrage that Jim Plunkett is not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Answer this bit of trivia, who is the only quarterback to start and win two Super Bowl games and not be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame -- excluding non-eligible candidates?
That's right, it's Plunkett.
And not only should Plunkett be in the Hall, Ken Stabler deserves an induction, too, as his numbers are very comparable to Joe Namath's. I don't want to say that there is a Raiders' biased, mainly because I haven't full taken the role of a Raider Sith, but something weird is going on.
What a legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As its is Hall of fame day i thought this would be a good way to start a debate about the outrageous HOF discrimination against the Raiders. BRANCH, TATUM, GUY, PLUNKETT, STABLER, FLORES, BROWN, ATKINSON, HAYES, DALBY, VILLAPIANO................
Rank is pretty cool to follow on twitter as well @adamrank and is also on the Dave Damashek Football podcast on NFL.com show him some love for the Raider support we don't get much in the mainstream.
Good to see that at least ONE person between ESPN/NFL.com is not a completely blinded by stupidity and bias

Been doing some research for an upcoming post and found this which I though was cool and would share.
Damn Marvin Gaye is the coolest mofo of all time!
TIM BROWN MISSES OUT ON HOF 2011
Tim Brown has missed out on the HOF this year.
From ESPN.com
DALLAS -- Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk lead a class of seven voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Joining them are Shannon Sharpe, Richard Dent, Ed Sabol, Les Richter and Chris Hanburger.
Sanders, the outstanding cornerback/kick returner and sometime wide receiver known as "Prime Time" with five teams, is a two-time Super Bowl winner and Defensive Player of the Year in 1994.
Faulk won a Super Bowl with the 1999 Rams, was the 1994 Offensive Rookie of the Year, 2000 NFL MVP and a three-time Offensive Player of the Year (1999-2001).
Sharpe held league records for a tight end in receptions, yards and touchdowns when he retired in 2001.
Bears defensive end Dent was the MVP of the 1986 Super Bowl and finished with 137½ career sacks.
Richter played nine seasons as a linebacker for the Rams and Hanburger spent 14 seasons with the Redskins.
Well........at least Chris Carter and Andre Reed (and Jerome Bettis) missed out as well and how Richard Dent made it over any of these three is insane to me.
Al Trusts Hue
The more information that comes out the more it shows that Hue has Al's trust more than any coach we have had in a long time.
“The fire in Hue will set a flame that will burn for a long time in the hearts and minds of the Raider football team and the Raider Nation,” - Mr Davis
Found this presentation from Bleacher report:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/452303-oakland-raiders-becoming-hue-jacksons-team-looks-like-al-davis-trusts-him#page/1
which prompted some thought in relation to our owner, our new head coach and the state of the Raiders moving forward.
Al Davis is allowing Hue Jackson to conduct all interviews for the defensive co-ordinator position, I cannot remember the last time that the coach was allowed to pick his own DC for the Raiders and illustrates Mr Davis's trust in Hue Jackson and perhaps a loosening of the influence Mr Davis is said to have on the D.
Also all of the interviewees are proponents of the 3-4 scheme which would be a major change in philosophy from what we have seen from the Raiders for many years (although all our super bowls were won in a 3-4) but with Hue coming from Baltimore it seems Hue is being allowed to implement his philosophy on defence as well as offence. I personally like the idea of moving to a 3-4 and if Hue can infuse the same attitude and similar scheme that they run in Baltimore I would be ecstatic. The interesting thing for me would be how our current D-Line personnel would fit into a 3-4 as you would think Seymour and Houston would be the ends but I can not see how Tommy Kelly fits as I do not see him making it as a NT.
Hue has also hired his own OC in Al Saunders from Baltimore all these things point to a new era in Oakland with a coach that fully Al trusts and while i think Al's influence has been overstated in the past, Mr Davis seems to be giving much more control to the head coach than any I can remember in a long time as in recent history Al has really been putting the coaching staff together himself, and is also seems that the hiring of Wiz was Hue's call as well judging from his comments.
I personally have full confidence in Hue and feel that he is the right man to take us to the promised land and am nothing but encouraged by the way he has taken ownership of this proud franchise and moves he has made so far, Hue seems to be trying to make the Raiders, Ravens 2.0 which is fine with me as I have always loved and respected the way the Ravens play.
There are also some interesting things in there about Gaither (who I have said should be our number one target for a while) and Le'ron Mclain should Bush leave.
The bottom line is that Al seems to be giving Hue full power to build the whole team - both sides of the ball to his vision which is what many have been pining for for a long time.
This is a new era in Raider Nation, we are building the new Bully of the NFL, I seriously can not wait until next season.

I prefer out traditional uniforms but the black helmut looks different..........obviously.
Great DHB interview on ESPN fantasy focus. BEST INTERVIEW OF THE OFFSEASON
Damn he has been impressive, not only on but off the field. I don't usually toot my own horn but i have been behind DHB from the start for the simple fact he will do everything in his power to be a great player. I STILL WOULD PREFER DHB OVER MONEYTREE, SCREW THE HATERS RAIDER NATION BABY!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR DAVIS!
The creator, and all powerful leader of the greatest Nation on earth and I would not swap him for anyone.
He gave the Raiders the silver and black and he has given the fans 3 super bowl victories. He may have made some bad decisions and also maybe taken some bad advice however his commitment to winning football games has never been in question with a specific view to winning the Superbowl.

NOBODY loves the Raiders like Mr Davis and we are lucky to have him.
Thank you Mr Davis.
Just win baby
