After an exciting freshman season at Arizona, and an even more impressive summerleague, it appears as though Jerryd Bayless is currently out of the Blazer's 10 man rotation.

I am not horribly dissappointed, because I honestly didn't expect him to play a whole lot this year, but when did we all of a sudden make Sergio our default #2, and move Jerryd down the ladder to #3?

I have nothing against Sergio, and I honestly feel as though the best player should earn his minutes... but at what point do we go with the point guard of the future?  Which I think most people would agree is Jerryd.

I hadn't thought about this a whole lot until last night, when Jerryd came in and did some impressive things on offense (as told by wheels).  Even Nate would probably readily admit that JB's defense is superior to Sergio's.

What do you guys think?  Will Jerryd eventually earn his way into the second unit?  Will he eventually work his way into the starting unit?  Or will this be a learning year?

My guess is that an injury to either Blake or Sergio will likely open the door, and once he steps in, he won't step back out.
