Tomorrow, December 21st, for anyone who doesn't worship Joe, it's his 83rd birthday, so i thought, for anyone reading this post tonight, maybe tomorrow they could go into work and do something to show how much of a fan you are. Tomorrow I'm wearing a white shirt, Blue and white tie, Khaki pants with one roll in them, and my black Nike's. For anyone out there who can't, just let them know that it's Joe's birthday, and he's still coaching, and sharp as a tack might i add :)

Es ey see (SEC) Fans.... ugh

So i went into work today and i knew it would be bad, but wow, the SEC fans were brutal.... All i heard all day long was how great the SEC is and how continuously SEC schools dominate the rankings. Supposedly this is because northern schools are to "finesse" and how we won't "line up in front of you and punch you in the mouth. " They next went to the rankings and of course there were no Big Ten teams in the top 10, but there were 5 SEC teams.... (btw... the two schools where these people were from is Arkansas and Auburn)

SO! Someone give me some firepower to go into work with and shut these people up..... is there any? I agreed with them in that Penn State was over rated being #4, but i'll never admitt that the SEC is the best ever.....

Not sure if i can start this or not, maybe i need some help, but the other day i saw people were talking about the most popular number in the NFL or wherever, but it led me to think, in Penn State history, whats the most popular/historic number? 32? 31? 22? 25? 7? 1? 2? there's been a lot of players with each number! what number has the most? maybe someone can help me out, or maybe its a lost cause, anyways, i just had a bunch of captain and cokes to celebrate our #1 party school ranking!!! WE ARE!!!!

We're Penn State..... There will be no meetings.....

I remember when We Are Marshall came out there was some discussion on here as to who coined the phrase "We Are'' first. I'm not sure if anyone ever knew of any concrete evidence as to whether it was Marshall or Penn State. I found this link and i thought it was rather interesting, and a very good story! I'm sure this is old knowledge and people already know about it, but for those of you who haven't seen it..... here it is.....

i was driving home from the Miami Heat game tonight and i was listening to the radio when i heard a billy idol song come on the radio. hearing this it reminded me of a story i heard from someone about him coming to penn state around the halloween timeframe of 1995-1998. as the story goes, billy played somewhere, or was in state college for some reason, and went to the lions den for a drink and someone came up to him and yelled... ''dude, awesome billy idol costume'' as the story goes he just kind of went along with his night and no one bothered him. either it was because no one knew him or what not, but yea.... not sure if this is for real but maybe someone is just making it up but add your own two cents.

we've all heard the cata bus thing about free tuition but is there any other hidden stories such as the billy idol story....

PS Football Student Tickets Info.

So just some updated that i learned this morning. I stopped by the BJC and checked on the status of my football tickets and was informed that they have not even gone out yet. the first game is.... 23 days away?(from the time this post was written) and they haven't gone out! wow!! so say they go out the 15th, I'm originally from Georgia(i'm not) but my tickets go back there.... am i going to be able to get my tickets for the first game? i'm gonna have to just through my ass to get them here and hope my parents are good about sending out mail!!

Another thing is with the tickets. i'm pretty sure the system in place will be that students will no longer have paper tickets. If you buy football tickets they will be added to the chip on your student id card and before entering into the Beav, students will swipe their ID cards and have to be the person on the ID to enter. Not a bad idea!! i doubt tickets will be selling out as quick and i bet virtually no branch campus students will be getting tickets since they now can't sell them for $1000.00 to a ticket broker in Nebraska. Whats everyone think?!?

Yea, so i found this the other day, and not sure if anyone else has seen it, but i thought it was kind of funny!! At least we aren't the only school with problems in the football program(that are behind us)! Things have really been looking up for us this year though. I'm just thinking it's a good possibility to win the Big Ten this year. I'm calling it.... could be way off though!! but hey, check out that site below.....

Yahoo's Top Ten Coaches

So i just got back from Zeno's and i'm kinda drunk, but i'll do my best to type out this post. I looked earlier today before i went to Cafe 210 and saw yahoo.com's list of their top 10 coaches. When i looked though i saw all these popular coaches that are making all the money. Nick Saban, Urban Myer, Mack brown, and yadda yadda.... now correct me if i'm wrong but isn't Joe the second most winningest coach in college football? Bobby Bowden didn't make it onto this list. So since Joe didn't make it onto this list, why was he at Mack Brown's awards dinner as a guest speaker last week giving a speech? Now i'm just a college student who's obsessed with Joe Paterno. Like i said, i was at Zeno's tonight, drinking on my passport, sharing my Joepa wisdom with everyone around me, telling them the stories of the 1969 orange bowl season and how their beloved QB Micheal Robinson of the 2005 season was a Slot at one point and a "terrible one" at that who couldn't catch a cold during his soph. season. But i was also telling them of Jim O'harra and how he was the only guy other than Tom Bradley to coach the team and yeaaa..... whatever... its 2:30 in the morning.... i need to go drink some more beer... anyways. if someone can get ahold of Yahoo.com and tell them they're full of sh!it for not adding Joe to their top ten coaches, do so...... Hey, i think i've done a pretty good job remembering these keys, not to many typo's WE ARE!!! PENN STATE!!!!
