Born a military kid, moved around a lot til I was 11. When my dad retired from the AF, we moved to PA. I never attended PSU but I became a fan before I even moved to PA. I remember liking the plain helmets and watching Blair Thomas run over opposing defenses way back before they filled in the endzones at Beaver Stadium. I attended WVU for grad school and became a teacher there for seven years, so I adopted them as my B team (since I had many players as students and it's hard not to support good kids you know personally). I now live in southern MD and try to get to State College for at least one home game every season. I normally am not somebody who posts in forums but I've really enjoyed reading the commentary of fellow fans and usually find it to be interesting and mature. Look forward to talking PSU with many of you and hopefully such discussions will become positive again before too long.
