Good story on Coach C. here from Burton. I especially liked this little gem from Reamer: "You stay bought into it when you see your opponent sucking air and physically failing and you're still fit and ready and you know you own his ass. You know Coach Cochran was right all along and you don't ever want to be that man," Reamer concluded.

The battle for the kicking jobs this fall gets tougher each week. After signing Cade Foster and Jay Williams to scholarships in early February, Bama quickly added Sam Buckingham back into the fold. The Tide also took UAB transfer Jay Benson. Now chrissailerkicking.com is reporting that Cody Mandell will pass up his scholarship offer at Tulane to walk on at Alabama. Mandell was ranked the #5 overall kicker in the nation by Chris Sailer's group, and they claim he has the best kickoff leg in the country.

It seems as though the competition in the kicking game has improved with the addition of Mandell, buckingham and Benson. These additions to the kicking game should help to ease "some" of the anxiety we have towards this area of the team.

Auburn to erect statue of Chizik

Following what many fans consider to be the best recruiting class in school history, Auburn University officials have announced plans to erect a statue in honor of Head Coach Gene Chizik.

I would hate anyone to miss this Monday Morning Win.

The University of Central Florida's football program was placed on two years' probation today for recruiting violations that involved current University of Alabama director of player personnel Ed Marynowitz, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.

The story goes on to say that UA was unaware of this before Marynowitz's hiring and that they took "immediate action" to investigate and that "no call or text violations" have been recorded in his current role. I wonder what Saban thinks of this?

OTS: I'll be honest, I don't like this one bit. I don't know when the next train is leaving Tuscaloosa, but this guy needs to be on it.
