Now, we've all seen how in the last decade, Kirk Ferentz has gone and taken Iowa, a great fanbase with a storied, but not considered elite football team, and turned them into defensive madmen with a working offense. Since he's gotten a BCS trophy (or equivalent), and Hayden didn't, does that make Kirk a... not trying to be blasphemous guy here, better coach in his tenure than Hayden Fry?

Not trying to rain on Hayden, because he was a damn fine coach! The man even went and set the team's very identity. and quite possibly set things in motion back in the 80's to lead the Hawkeyes to where they are now, back when he had Kirk on as offensive line coach. But kirk followed through. In a damn fine fashion I may add. Just saying, does this elevate Kirk in terms of status and coaching success in the program? Does this bring him to a mark right behind Evashevski?
