When he's off the DL, will the starting job be Jed Lowrie's? I thought I heard last week on NESN that was the speculation, but can't find that anywhere in writing. Makes sense to me given I don't think much of Lugo or Green, but just wondering what the plan was with him once he's activated- or will Tito just play it by ear?

Hello-

I was wondering what everybody thinks of Harrison. I see he's played some 2B and LF this year and was an 08 draft pick. Obviously he's a bit old for his level- 21 in the MWL but you can't really argue with .381/.412/.561. Those 14 doubles could easily turn into HR's too in a more homer friendly league since the MWL isn't exactly kind for that, but his size probably says he won't ever hit for a ton of power.

What do you guys think of him and what does the Cubs brass think at this point? Seems to me like he could be a pretty good sleeper prospect and should probably get promoted soon.

Hey-

I was wondering what the Tigers and Tiger fans think of Luis Marte. He was terrific last year in the FSL, had the injury and just didn't have command last year in AA. Not so much this year as he's got 29 SO/ 5 BB in 29.2 IP which is more than respectable and obviously a huge improvement over last years AA SO/BB ratio (32/26). .236 BAA, 3.34 ERA in AA... I haven't read much about him this year. What are the Tigers planning to do with him in the future and what about something on his stuff? Haven't read anything on him at all lately as I've said - just looking for some more info on him.

Thanks.

Are the Rockies going to call him up and add him to the 40 man prior to the Olympics, or just let him go off to Beijing? It seems like if they really do want to compete this year and try to crawl into the playoffs they should let him spark the team since Taveras doesn't look so hot. Not sure how you guys feel about him (I'm not a Rockies fan.). Also, if you guys are really rebuilding and saying F-it, then it also makes sense to whet his big league appetite. I don't really see any reason for him to be in AA still since he hit, what, 370 in June and is hitting .391 in July with an obscenely good BB/SO ratio? Hope he gets the call up to the bigs- look forward to watching this guy play.

Where has he gone? He hasn't pitched since July 13th. Is he hurt, or participating in the olympics or something?

Scott Elbert

Hey, I was wondering what the deal with Elbert is?

He has been having some pretty good success in AA- a few more walks than you'd like to see, but I mean he has been coming back from shoulder surgery and that has always been his achilles heel anyway. My question pertained to the fact that he's been basically relieving, which I understand to build up stamina and whatnot, but he did start once and went three innings and now he's back to coming out of the pen his past few appearances. Is this going to be permanent or is this just because the Jacksonville rotation is full or what? I haven't been able to find anything on my own so I'm seeing what you guys know to try to shed some light.. Hope he can get everything on the right path again since he has, or had, so much talent but everything I've read seems pretty positive on him this year, so it looks like he may have regained it again. Just wondering why he's not starting.

Thanks
