I love sports! I love commenting on sports! I love writing about sports and I hope my readers enjoy my views! I am a cancer survivor who thanks sports and sports writing for helping me get cured. Here is an overview of my sports favorites.........
I am a "Huge" Ranger fan. I started rooting for the Rangers in 1990. The 1994 cup was one of the top five moments in my life, number 1 of course was beating cancer. My favorite Ranger will forever be #11 Mark Messier. I was at the retirement ceremony for "Mess" at the Garden.
I teach 10th and 12the grade History at a private school in Westchester County, NY! I enjoy reading at the beach club, after teaching Summer School ( I teach all sciences in summer school). I have been teaching at the same school for over 6 years and I love my jobs. Being able to make a difference in the loves of many students is a plus for me.
I currently pre-engaged, August 2009 will be the date of engagement. I am going to marry a phenomenal women.my baby girl Mini!! We met at school and have been in love since.
My favorite sports teams, in order, are the University of Miami Hurricanes football team, Pittsburgh Steelers, NY Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers/Oakland A's, NY Knicks (watch the tomatoes you throw at me...I bruise easily) and North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team. Sports kept me going through my trials and treatments battling Testicular Cancer.
My sports heroes are my father Lou (who could have been a pro basketball or baseball player..if it weren't for his enlistment into the armed forces during the Korean War), Lou Gehrig, Lance Armstrong, Mark Messier, Don Mattingly, Buck O'Neill, Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Jackie Robinson, Franco Harris, Jack Lambert, Dick Butkus, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Cal Ripken, Paul O'Neil, Ryan Braun and Troy Palamalu.
