Introducing the Manimal Planet: Sign on up!
So with the QPU disappearing with the disappearence of our once favorite quitter it is time for some new DS group blood. In case you are new to DS, QPU stood for Quitters People United, it was formed more so of sarcasm but no need to rehash the debates of Melo quitting or not. For many DS posters our new favorite Nug is Mr. Manimal..umm..Kenneth Faried. So in his honor we shall start the Manimal Planet. Pick a club number, here is the old QPU roll call. Pick a number and put it in your sig line if you so want. We like to show our unity(or group think if you are a cynic) on this lovely blog.
This is Manimal's planet and we all are lucky enough to live in it

Vastly inferior to Giro race announces route
Here's a hint: It's still not a GT.
The day before "the decision": What are you hoping for?
So tomorrow the absurdly long drama of Cattle Gate..eh..Beef Gate..eh you know what I mean, ends. So I decided to throw up a poll to see where people stand at this date. Have many become indifferent to Bert getting a suspension or not? Do the majority want him gone or even for him to get off free? Personally I'm quite biased and want to see him roar up the mountains of T-A, Catalunya, Basque Country and go against Cadel in a TT heavy Tour. Justice not served? Well quite possibly, but the man has probably had to go through a lot of shitty days and nights since the end of 2010. I'm not saying it's just but with this thing having taken so long and Bert continuing to dominate I just don't feel it's all that relevant anymore. At least if it's two years from tomorrow the results of last year should stand. Either way Andy Schleck will never be the 2010 Tour champ in my eyes and Scarponi the 2011 Giro champ. How do you feel the ban, if it happens, should be given? Two years from tomorrow, retroactive and only six months from tomorrow with results stripped? Something else? Anyway...poll!
(also please tell me if there are other possible outcomes, I truly haven't followed the case all that closely)
T-A Route announced: Not so much of a sprinters race
Two mountain stages, two TT and only two sprint stages.
Me and Eddy Merckx are the same
...when it comes to our opinion on Andy Schleck and the Giro
Did we mall miss this? I'm looking back at the PdC posts from around the time this year's Giro Lombardia route was announced(Sep. 21) and can't seem to see a reference. It was right during WC week anyway. Looks like a pretty radical route change for this year and seeing the race is only 3 days away it's about time I realize this!

Tour of Beijing Stage 3 LIVE
MEGA MOUNTAIN DAY!!!!!!!! Need more words!! Huge mountain, the biggest EVAH, just gigantic, phenomenal action guaranteed, the best China has on offer, Phil and Paul would pee themselves if they were commentating this race because...Lance...it's so good. Hey I still don't have 75 words. Well did you guys know that the Giro route presentation is in 9 days? Good stuff eh? The Giro would love a mega mountain day like today

Good news for USAPCC
28 new cities(OK, most are towns) have applied to host a stage next year with all 11 from this year also applying once more. The biggest names are Durango, Grand Junction and of course Boulder. Oh and the MTF note has me giddy.
SPG Stage 21
Wrapping up an exciting Vuelta with a parade lap in Madrid
SPG Stage 20
Final chance for Froome to win back some time, but the bigger battle will likely be for the mountains jersey and stage.
SPG Stage 19
The Vuelta heads into Eusky land for the first time in a long time. Once again punchy, maybe the best chance for Froome to give it a last go?
SPG Stage 18
First of three punchy days in a row, good for the break but with such a tight GC...who knows?
SPG Stage 17
The last uphill finish, short but nasty
SPG Stage 16
A dead flat sprint stage! Miracle! Monday is the second rest day
But seriously, this race has been incredibly hard, too hard in fact. I remember riding this race back in 2005 and people where here training for the Worlds and there would be nine or ten sprint stages up for grabs. Maybe one or two guys would go up the road and you’d catch them before the finish. Now everyone wants to be in the break and the starts are uphill. Things are going in the wrong direction.

Seriously GHH?? Wrong direction??? That sure seems like the right direction for the sport and race. Gonna have to take the G off HH soon
SPG Stage 13
Tough day to control, looks like a day for the break
SPG Stage 11
The first rest day is Tuesday and then it goes uphill again
SPG Stage 9
A nice flat day if you ignore the final 11km of the stage
SPG Stage 8
Zig Zaggy all the way through, the sprinters can go take a back seat again
SPG Stage 7
Finally a normal sprint!! Even I'm happy about that(Kitty Kat!)
SPG Stage 6
One for the sprinters who are capable of getting their butts over an average climb
SPG Stage 5
27% wall at the line, I guess that's pretty steep
SPG Stage 3
It's bumpy, is it bumpy enough to foil the sprinters?
SPG Stage 2
One of the few sprint stages in the first week, still a 4% bit in the last 2km.
