The DH, is it good for the NL too?

A trending buzz is beginning to question the DH rule. You can find arguments for and against it all over the place, including here and here. We constantly hear the AL is the more competitive league of the two and you know that's entirely true. The DH rule is what completely differentiates the 2 leagues, but are they playing on an even playing field?
- It is fair to the NL that the AL replaces their worst hitter with one paid strickly to blast the ball?
- Would we constantly hear the AL is better than the NL if the DH rule was abolished?
- Should the AL get rid of their 35 year experiment and return to the tradition?
There are so many questions that arise from this debate that it's fun to read and listen to others thoughts and gripes concerning the DH. Eventually something will give to create equality among the leagues.
