Floyd Landis, newly signed by  the Bahati Foundation Pro Cycling Team, has been entered to ride at the San Dimas Stage Race, March 19 - 21.  Floyd will race against a strong Men's Pro/Cat-1 field in a mountain Time Trial, a classic Road Race, and a fast Criterium.  It should be a very interesting race for riders and spectators alike.  See www.scvelo.com for more details about the race venues and times.

So. Calif. cycle racing, the Southern California Velo (SC Velo) cycling club
is hosting their 11th annual San Dimas Stage Race (SDSR) on March 19 - 21.
Over 800 amateur and world class professional cyclists are expected to compete
in three stages of racing. 

Stage 1 consists of individual time trials on a 3.8 mile course that winds
its way up the steepest and curviest part of Glendora Mountain Road.

Stage 2 is a classic Road Race around Bonelli Park on a rolling twisting 7 mile
course which includes a couple of short, but steep, grades. The riders will make
several loops around the course, with the overall racing distances varying from
35 to 84 miles, depending upon their category.

Stage 3 is a Criterium around the streets of Old Town San Dimas. The racers will
ride quick loops around a tight, 1.2 mile circuit with 6 sharp corners, for times
varying from 30 to 90 minutes depending upon their category.

All of these events offer great opportunities for participation by amateur and
professional cyclists, as well as wonderful viewing for cycling fans. There is
no fee for watching, just pick a spot along the race route and be prepared to
see some great racing. For the photographically inclined, the photo-ops will
be unparalleled, with lots of up-close action, so bring your cameras.
