So far I think Brian Anderson has done a great job filling in for Joe Magrane. He's been insightful and he doesn't try too hard to be funny. And that's all I really ask from an analyst.

By the way, Garza is a badass and he has without question the best stuff on the staff, and maybe even in baseball. Thank you Andrew Friedman for making that trade. And Cliff Floyd continues his assualt on the ball and his knees.

MLB.com just reported that Longoria is in the lead for that final All Star spot. Dye is right behind him. Hart is leading for the NL. Let's make sure Longo stays on top.

http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080707&content_id=3085631&vkey=allstar2008&fext=.jsp

This is good news coming after a game the Rays should have won. Oh well, they have to forget about it and focus on the Yankees. Let's sweep them in the Bronx.

Rob Parker = Jackass

I know it's been discussed allready, but I personally can't stand Detriot columnist Rob Parker. I don't know if you caught him yesterday on 1st and 10 but he said that the Rays winning is bad for baseball and baseball's only good when the Yankees and the Red Soxs are in the playoffs. That really pissed me off. Why then have the other teams Rob? Just let the Yankees and the Red Soxs play 162 games against each other. It would bring in great ratings and we all know that's what baseball's all about, having high ratings.

Later on the topic was on NFL rookie contracts and if there should be some short of restriction placed on the contracts because guys who haven't even played a down yet have allready made more money than the guys who, you know, have actually played a couple of games. Well dumbass Parker agrees with the rookies and says they should make as much money as they should get because they worked so hard in college or whatever other bull shit he was talking about.

I'm sorry about going on this tangent but I had to get it off my chest.

Go Rays!!!!

Longoria, ALL Star?

I'm watching the Marlins/Rays game right now and they just did a poll on who should be the Rays representative for the All Star game. The list included Crawford, Kazmir, Upton, Navarro, and Howell. Now I have a question, why is no one mentioning Longoria? Is it because he's a rookie? Because right now I think Longoria is the best hitter the rays have. The kid leads the team in homeruns and RBIs while also playing gold glove caliber defense. He saved the game on friday with an outstanding dive.

Longoria gets my vote even if he's not on the ballot. Which is bullshit, by the way.
