It seems to me that the Indians are coming to the conclusion that this year is not the year for them. So as expected, they will obviously become sellers before the deadline. I am sure DeRosa will end up somewhere, or maybe one of their pitchers, but what about V-Mart. Does anyone think that he would be up for auction this summer? If so, I would really like the Cubs to try and make a move to get him. Soto is not the same, and Hill is starting to show why he is our backup.

Could any of you see a move like this happening between the Cubs and the indians? Just a thought, it would be great to have that big bat from our catcher in the lineup again.

I do not think this is anymore ridiculous of an idea as the Freddy Sanchez rumor.

Bradley leading off?

"Let's just leave things alone right now and take a look," he said. "I know the kid we got from St. Louis [Miles] has a high on-base percentage. Bradley led the American League in on-base percentage, and that's good. Those are the type of ingredients we need for this lineup."

Quote from Lou at the convention where he throws out the idea of Bradley leading off. Not much substance to the quote, but it got me to think about the possibility.

What does everyone else think? I would prefer it to Soriano.

Bad news for Sox fans. The Score just reported that his wrist is broken and he will probably miss the rest of the season. This is too bad, Q is a classy and hardworking player who really has made a lot of my Sox fan friends happy this season.

This just goes to show you that some things are worse than a 5 game losing streak. Imagine if we lost Aramis for the rest of the season!

Fellow Cubbie Fans

If the rain is heavy this afternoon, any chance they will postpone the game until a night game. Probably a dumb question. I do not know if that is a common thing. Or would they just cancel the game and play double header tommorow. Sorry for my lack of knowledge about rain outs, etc. This is a great series for us to put some distance between us and those other two teams.

Things Will Only Get Better (Coming from a Cubs fan)

Relax (Coming from me, a hated Cubs fan)

I understand all these problems you guys think and know the Sox have right now. MY advice be patient. I cannot see this team finishing even close to as bad the 07 team finished. In fact this team reminds me a lot of that “good” Cubs team last year that made the playoffs. The 07 Cubs, not a great team by any means, started out with a horrible offense and finished April with a very similar record as the 08 Sox, they turned things around and took the division. The AL Central is not what it was (I do not know why, but it seems weaker than last year) Im not saying its NL Central weak (Although its solid this year), but It looks like everyone is going to beat up on everyone else in the AL Central. So,relax, Thome will come around, Quentin is a stud, and Dye and Paulie will start hitting more. Also, I can see the Sox trying to get Brian Roberts from the Orioles. I guess the point to my post is, things can only get better and it is really early in the season. The Sox are still my pick to win the division. F#ck the Tigers.
