What has happened to Justin Upton?
I have been trying to track Justin Upton's season at South Bend, and I was checking the box scores for the Diamondbacks A farm team.
For the last few days, I haven't seen his name in the lineup, and I was wondering if he is injured, or might have been moved.
Anyone know what's going on?
Thanks

Prince Fielder
I'm watching the Brewers/Reds game on TV, and I can't help but notice how big and thick Prince Fielder is through the chest and shoulders.
He is off to a fine start (including his HR and 2B today), and I'm very impressed with his swing. It is the definition of "compact" through the hitting zone, and he develops excellent bat speed.
I'm impressed.

Does anyone know ...
Where Charles Johnson is now? I was wondering the other day what happened to him after last season. Did he sign a minor league contract with anyone, or is he even still in the game?
I thought he might be a good coach for someone whenever he hung up the cleats and shinguards. If you do know what happened to him, I'd like to hear. I tried to Google him up, but found nothing, and I couldn't find him using the Player Locator at MinorLeagueBaseball, either.
Thanks

With Lugo Injured ...
Is there any chance that Upton will be called up? If not, what trigger (other than the obvious trade of Lugo) will it take for the Rays to make this move?
Obviously, if Lugo is moved (probably sometime around mid-season), Upton is going to come up. What do the Rays do, if Upton finally resolves his problems on defense, and Lugo returns from the DH, continues to hit, and the Rays don't trade him?

Catcher in the Wry ...
I'm just curious as to how many (if any) of the people on this board have ever read the book "Catcher In the Wry"?
It is, in my opinion, the single funniest book I've ever read. It also just happens to be based in baseball, since it was written by Bob Uecker.
I said this in the other thread, and I meant it - I literally had tears in my eyes, and my sides hurt from laughing so hard. If you ever played baseball (or softball), you'll be able to relate to the stories on a personal level. Most of the stories are about people, and their foibles, and aren't limited to situations on a baseball team.
Great book. Absolutely great.

Louisville River Bats
I was just curious - I live just outside of Louisville, and I make it to about 5 or 6 River Bats games a year. Does anyone else on here ever go to Slugger Field?
If so, I'd be glad to try to find a game that we could both get to, and maybe meet you at the field.
The last two seasons, I concentrated mostly on games with Durham, since BJ Upton was on the roster. It doesn't really matter to me, but any of the International League teams is fine.

Lance Davis ....
I read the diary that asked about the whereabouts of Brandon Larson, and it made me think about another player that was in the Reds' system a few years ago. They had a promising young pitcher, by the name of Lance Davis. He made the bigs, had a decent cup of coffee, and then simply fell off the face of the earth. I think he might have had arm trouble, but he completely dissapeared.
Anyone have an answer as to what happened to him?
