Bucs Dugout EXCUSES AND PASSING THE BLAME

I am tired of FSN announcers like Walk passing the blame for failure.  The day this organization gets over the hump is the day "every player and coach excepts blame for their ineptitude."  Doumit should not be at first in the later innings if he can not catch a routine throw from a pitcher.  He has shown an inability to be an average player at first in the past two weeks.  He has no range, he misses routine grounders and he doesn't catch throws to first.  I know the pirates are trying to make the best of it with what they have, but putting a guy at first with limited ability is like going to war with faulty equipment.  If you want Doumit getting experience at first play him there, but if you can win the game and it's the seventh or beyond he must be replaced.  You have too many guys working too hard to have a guy miss a routine throw at first and cost the team the game.  Doumit is at best a slightly above average player and there is know way he should be treated as anything more.  He needs to be taken out of the game A.S.A.P. once it is close or the bucs are winning late in the game!  His glove is dismal at best!!!!!!!!!

Bucs Dugout Major League Concerns for this Club!

I know this team lacks talent, but the lack of leadership from the dugout is even more of an issue.  Russell barely even defended his players today and there were multiple calls that didn't go the pirates way.  Aki doubled off, andrew called out at second and check swings I did not like the calls on.  It seemed like the Pirates could not catch a break and I think a team on a five game losing streak could have used an eccentric manager today.  Russell's argument after the call at second was pathetic, even though he may have been out.  Aki was clearly safe at first, so to have two close calls go against you in this type of game is not acceptable you must be willing to get an early shower in defense of your team.  Cutch should also be leading off and Aki should be hitting second.  Aki could be taking pitches or bunting Andrew over:  Milledge does not belong anywhere near the 3rd spot in the order!  Russell needs to show "Do Nothing" that the catcher position is open given Ryan's lack of production!  J.J. should be getting more at bats and Delwin Young should not be used at third unless it is an emergency!  Young is not even serviceable at third never mind an everyday player once your main guy "LaRoche" goes down.  Morton needs a ton of work and should be at triple AAA while Hart should be re-called now that he's throwing strikes.  Ohlendorf needs to show some grit and Daniel McCuthen might as well be cut!  Competition will improve this team, but since the organization won't make the moves until after June 15 it is going be a very long month of May!  Russell should be canned after this season and a guy who shows at least the slightest bit of emotion needs to be hired.  I would love to see a guy like Davey Johnson, but he probably will be already employed by the Mets!

Bucs Dugout Brandon Moss

He has lost all confidence and does not deserve to be on the major league roster!  He either strikes out or rolls a weak grounder to first every time he goes to the plate.  The pirates should show the guy some mercy and send him to the minors.  He might be able to regain his confidence and stop emarassing himself every time he steps on a major league field!  I don't even care who they call up just send the guy down and pray he can turn it around.
