Grew up in the East bay watching the A's in the 80's. Those were the days when Rickey would walk on four pitches and be on third two pitches later with Hendu or King Kong ready to knock him in. Long time A's fan living in Portland I catch the games on MLB.tv, visit Safeco or Macafee.

BB Extension

Just read in the current issue of Sports Weekly that BB "will sign a lucrative contract extension once Lew Wolff is officially announced as the owner," according to SW's Bob Nightengale. He speculated in last weeks edition that Lew Wolff "has been approved as the new owner of the A's, which will be announced by opening day."
Only time will tell if the "by opening day" will apply considering MLB's timeline for announcements has historically been sloooowww.
If its all true it would be great news for A's fans everywhere. Hopefully, our most valuable potential free agent has been re-upped.
