Sounder At Heart Hahnemann Possibly Coming Home

According to Skysports he would like to comeback to Seattle to finish his career but Vancouver and portland might be tempting as well

Hahnemann told skysports.com: "Possibly. Seattle has a team, where Kasey Keller is playing now. We are both from Seattle and consider that our home, so I wouldn't mind playing back there."

"Next summer Portland and Vancouver are getting teams, which are both in the North West. I don't know, it might be a draw to go back there next summer but we will see.

"Right now, with everything as it is over here, I just can't see me going back, everything is just too good here."

Sounder At Heart Correct the Playoff System

I love the MLS but I hate their playoff system. That being said the MLS has shown in the past their willingness to correct things they have done wrong. So it is time to correct the playoff system. Much like the count down clock was way too untraditional for soccer, so is the current MLS playoffs. So let's fix it:

Be advised if you understand the World Cup pool format then you already know what i am suggesting. For those just beginning to follow soccer this is how it would work.

1) Keep the 8 team format. By only accepting 8 teams you make the regular season count.

2) The top seed in both conferences receive automatic playoff berths. Give these two teams home field advantage throughout.

3) Take the top six teams after the conference winners regardless of conference.

4) Now we have our 8 playoff teams. You then have a live one hour playoff draw on national TV (ESPN or ESPN2). This is just like the World Cup draw.

5) Lastly those teams are now placed into either Pool A or Pool B and reseeded so you can determine home field advantage.

6) The two teams who win their pool move onto the one game championship at a predetermined site.
