Golden State Of Mind Not using Amnesty on Biedrins= Bad Mistake

Plain and simple....Who cares if someone else picked him up? He is a waste of cap and turning into one of the worst contracts in NBA history. Talk about a guy who took the money and ran. At least Captain Jack with all his shananigans at least gives a damn when he is on the court.

Biedrins vs Pacers:
24 minutes (exactly half the game) vs Roy Hibbert (Slow stiff), Amundson (Not as slow stiff), and Tyler Hansborough (Kinda slow stiff)...

4 rebounds (0 offensive), 0 points, 1 block, 1 turnover, 0 assists, 0 steals, 4 fouls.

Hibbert on our home floor managed 16 rebounds (4 offensive) 4 assists, 10 points, 2 blocks, only 1 turnover, and only 2 fouls in 34 minutes on the court.

Biedrins IMO simply doesn't care. Every so often there are athletes who simply take the money and run, meaning after their first big payday they simply quit caring or doing what it takes to be worth a damn. They are content with the money they have guaranteed to them and never perform up to what was expected or shown from past efforts.

I believe that Andris Biedrins has now officially joined the ranks of Chan Ho Park and Eddy Curry.

Not knowing that Kwame Brown would have gotten hurt, our ownership would have been much smarter to amnesty Biedrins and go with Brown & Udoh for the time being and gamble that a servicable big could be acquired in some form or fashion with the money that amnestying Biedrins would have opened up.

If I am a GM of any other club in the league and I am looking at Biedrins I turn down anything that he and his contract is involved in.

I don't even think Biedrins brings us a 2nd round pick from a contender who loses a big to injury later in the season. He is that BAD.

Golden State Of Mind Why not Nash in 09/10?

I've seen several  (20-25) games of the Suns this year on League Pass and I think Nash easily has another 2 years left in the right situation.

What better situation than playing under the coach that loved him first and the coach that he first flourished under?

Golden State Of Mind OK I'm sorry but I can't hold this is anymore......

I am sick to my stomach at how bad Biedrins is getting killed on the boards since he has come back from the appendectomy.

I remember he was really starting to play at a high level and now he is back to damn near terrible again.
Do you think he is scared to hurt himself???
Before the surgery he was having some 20+ rebounds games and now game after game he is picking up terrible fouls and getting killed on the boards giving up offensive board after offensive board.

Thoughts?? Opinions???

Golden State Of Mind Biedrins possibly out longer than expected!!!

According to Ray Ratto at this link:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/02/22/SPBRV6IPS.DTL

Beans could miss 8-15 games and up to a month.

I don't know about you but if this is the case I think our playoff chances are down in smoke.

The next 3 games are all winnable without him (Atlanta, Seattle, Philadelphia) all at home.
Although Atl could cause us some probs tonight with their length and size (J. Smith & Horford).

After that though Beans being gone will make it tough on us to win against the West.  His rebounding, pick setting, and the way he finishes
around the rim are all pivotal to the Dubs success.

IMO Goose is one of the most underrated bigs in the league and his lack of presence will have a terrible trickle down effect.

Hopefully Ray Ratto is wrong and Biedrins is back in a week.  If so he would only miss 3 games, 2 of which we can easily win without him.

Go Dubs!!!
