I've been watching with a close eye the discussions that have been going on about the Big East rumors. I've noticed that an awful lot (particularly for an astute community like OBNUG) of discussion has been based on knee-jerk (or just Jerk) reactions to the idea of Boise State jumping ship for an Eastern Seaboard Shmorgasbord. I have always had a lot of disdain for the Big East and so, like many others, I was pretty Debbie Downer on the issue, but as I read the comments I couldn't help noticing that a lot of our emotional arguments didn't hold up under scrutiny and we have been ignoring a lot of potential benefits under the "The Big Least Sux!!!" argument. Yeah, that is a prevalent argument. Watch me tackle and put into an inescapable arm-bar some of the other anti Big East arguments after "Le Jump".

I incorrectly assumed that there would be tickets aplenty lying around for us to snatch up... But here I am looking at stubhub and all that and seeing no groupings of two or more seats (I need 5). Anybody know a way to get some that is more fruitful than the internets? I was considering a medieval ambush, looting and pillaging technique in Laramie, but I figure they'll have enough pain and misery on their hands AFTER we leave...

Kraken Preseason All Americans list.... But he forgot to let me see it ANYWHERE on the internet. There are approximately 1 billion articles from the MAC and Big 12 talking about their future stars and 0 links to the actual lists. This awful off season is making me crazy and a pre season All American list not from booger bleacher report is just what I need to satisfy my soul. Can someone save my sanity?

So I've been blessed with a case of Marty Tadmanitis this week, seemingly being in all the right places at all the right times for (information) interceptions.. Here's a little more info from a reliable source on Austin's injury... He's elected for surgery, and although the recovery time for the procedure is usually around three months he's been told that, with good physical therapy and some luck, plus his stellar attitude, he could and maybe should be good to go for the bowl game.. IF we snag that beautiful BCS game. Also I dare anyone to find another sentence with that many commas. Go Broncos and can we start a get wells soon flower fund for all our injured combatants?? Chocolates maybe? Shrunken Idaho Vandal heads? Well, maybe not the heads, I'm pretty sure that'd be like the opposite of a rabbit's foot.

Has been solved... We sat next to a family member last night at the game who told us that he is sitting out with a shoulder injury that has been bothering him all year... He also told us a little about his family and his life and his love and commitment to our city and our team. Sounds like he has a great support system and a great attitude and I know you'll join me in wishing him a speedy recovery...

So all season long I've been reading and not able to post because the internet in iraq is as reliable as the government... But now I'm about five days, three stops, and one red eye flight from San Diego from sitting my dusty little behind in the NEZ, painted and panting for some BSU football... You guys and your articles and posts have made my life worth living for seven months, so if you see me, say hi and I'll give you an Iraqi souvenir... I'm so stoked to watch Kellsy and not be in Iraq (in that priority of order) that I may go blind and need Paul J. to take the seat next to me.. crap, I'm gonna go take some Zoloft.  I freakin love Boise, I freakin love BSU football, and I freakin love OBNUG...Anyway, Thanks for the memories etc etc and I'm coming home to sweet Boise!
