Addicted To Quack If Kelly Goes to the NFL, Who Would Oregon Hire?

I hope that this question does not need to be answered! No one can argue that Chip is one of the best coaches in college football, and I cannot think of any coach that I would rather have for the Ducks. That being said, if Kelly does leave then the Ducks seem to be in a very tough position... All of the "top tier" coaches have already signed with other schools. Urban Meyer would be the dream hire, but he is at Ohio St. Rich Rodriguez seems to me like the best replacement but he was just signed by Arizona. Chris Peterson would be a good fit, but he just signed a big extension.... I really hope that Chip wouldn't leave at this point when it is too late to find a good replacement.

Addicted To Quack My favorite Oregon jersey...

ATQ Nation- I need your help. I am trying to find the jersey that the ducks wore against LSU in the season opener last year, but I can't find it for sale anywhere. It is my favorite of all-time, and none of the websites seem to have it. If you need a reminder, it looks like this-

http://images.google.com/imgres?q=ORegon+vs.+lsu&hl=en&biw=1600&bih=719&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=0UAPtVLHxIhJuM:&imgrefurl=http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/2011/oregon-nike-pro-combat-uniforms-lsu-tigers/&docid=RAA7qNes5MlNzM&imgurl=http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/oregon-uniforms-vs-lsu-tigers.jpg&w=610&h=813&ei=cdMJT4zVG-LWiALir_iJCQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=474&sig=110578289834793631387&page=1&tbnh=163&tbnw=95&start=0&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&tx=50&ty=29

Any help would be appreciated.

Addicted To Quack How can I watch the New Mexico Game outside of Oregon?

I am going crazy trying to figure out how the hell I can watch the opening game. It does not appear to be on ESPN Game Plan, any of the FSN networks, or any other obscure Direct TV channel that I pay way too much for. I saw that you can watch live video off of the Oregon website for like $10.00, but has anyone tried that before? Is the quality any good? Will it suck because I have DSL? Thank you for your input, and God Bless Autzen.

Addicted To Quack Anderson Stay at Mizzou

Well, it is official! Another candidate has decided that the Oregon job is not worth it. I'm not really sure what to make of this? I can understand Izzo and Tubby, but come on! Anderson? you coach at Mizzou! The mid west sucks! is the Oregon job really that bad? Where do they go from here? Are there any coaches left?

Addicted To Quack Nate Costa? Really?

I'm sorry, but I can not figure out why anyone is saying that there will be a QB controversy this year. What on earth would the ducks gain from starting Nate Costa? He has one year left, very limited mobility (thanks to several knee surgeries), and he is not that accurate of a passer. I was at the UCLA game last year and I saw what the Oregon offense looked like with Costa at the helm; no explosion, no electricity, no points. On the other hand, Thomas has three years of eligibility and a whole lot of athleticism. Remember the Boise St. comeback? He accomplished that as a true freshman! How much better will he be now? I think that it is this simple, Nate Costa reminds me of Brady Leaf and Darron Thomas reminds me of Dennis Dixon. Am I alone on this? Can someone please explain to me why Kelly would even consider Costa? They both have had significant game time in one game, Thomas looked great and Costa looked average.

Addicted To Quack 5 Reasons Why the Ducks Will Beat Stanford

#5- TEAM SPEED

The ducks are one of the fastest teams in the nation (as was shown against S.C.'s 5-star athletes) and their team speed on offense and defense will be more than Stanford is able to handle. Jacquizz Rodgers ran for 189 yards out of a traditional set against Stanford, and may I remind you that LaMichael James was the 100 meter champion in the state of Texas his senior year of high school, and will be getting the ball in much more space than Rodgers (because of the spread attack).

#4- THE SPREAD OPTION

The only other Pac-10 team to run a true variation of the spread is Arizona, and when they faced off against Stanford they racked up 43 points and 553 total yards. Stanford fans (I believe that there are three of them) have been boasting about how their defense will maintain their assignments and make tackles against Oregon, but they were unable to do it against a much simpler Arizona offense. Chip Kelly's version of the spread will require Stanford's inside linebackers to spy Masoli, and give LaMichael open running lanes.

#3- RUSH DEFENSE

Gerhart is a very physical runner that can cause problems for an individual defender, but the Oregon defense swarms opposing running backs and does not allow them to get away. Jahvid Best was unable to rush for more than 55 yards against the ducks, and the combination of CJ Gable and Allen Bradford (two physical backs like Gerhart) were only able to get 54 yards combined!

#2- RUSH OFFENSE

Wake Forrest rushed for 251 yards against Stanford, the Rodgers' brothers from Oregon State rushed for a combined 200 yards against them, and Oregon has a much better running attack than anything that they have seen. Oregon currently ranks 12th in the nation, averaging 233.3 yards per game. Additionally, Stanford will see a dynamic rushing quarterback in Masoli who should have a huge game if the Cardinal try to stop LaMichael James

#1- CHIP KELLY

This Oregon team is different. Kelly has his team practicing early in the morning, watching film late at night, and 100% focused on football. After the destruction of Troy last week, many have questioned the possibility of an Oregon let down when going on the road to Palo Alto. The simple fact is, Oregon bounced back from Boise St. and has not stopped ever since. Focus is the main message that Kelly preaches, and there is no reason to believe that the ducks will not come out focused and ready to execute on Saturday.

Addicted To Quack Los Angeles Times and Player Quotes

As a Duck addict living in Los Angeles, I especially enjoyed this victory. I will return to work tomorrow and go from office to office yelling "in your face." The Los Angeles Times had four different stories today about the game, and I thought that I would share several of the excerpts for those of you back in Oregon.

"The best team in the county right now wears green and goes quack, quack." -Chris Dufresne L.A. Times

"LaMichael James, the ducks five-foot-barely running back, ran over the line like he was LeBron James." -Bill Plaschke L.A. Times

"We just got destroyed, absolutely destroyed."- Michael Morgan S.C. Linebacker

"They hit us in the mouth and kept hitting us in the mouth." -Taylor Mays

"We got beat up." -Taylor Mays

"I never thought it would happen to us." -Everson Griffen

"Oregon did everything they wanted to do." -Pete Carroll

"I never thought this could happen." -Matt Barkley

"They gained seven or eight yards a carry on their bad plays." -Pete Carroll
