I grew up in the Boise area of Idaho, but am currently a student at the University of Oregon.
My rooting priorities:
1) UO
2) Boise State
3) PAC-12 team playing non-conference foe
4) Anyone else
Rooting priorities for PAC-12 games, assuming that no outcome directly benefits the Ducks:
1) UO
2) OSU
3-11) Anyone else
12) Cataclysmic event preventing the conclusion of a game
13) Fuskies

Rose Bowl Champions. Let this song be our anthem of victory.

Signs for Rick Neuheisel on Friday
I don't know if Autzen will be permitting signs on Friday -- the rules might be a bit strange since it's not a regular conference game -- but if they will, we should definitely put our collective heads together to figure out the best way to send Richard Neuheisel off into the sunset.
Lyles does not plan to attend the game in Arlington, Texas.
This article from the Eugene newspaper The Register-Guard ends with the above gem. This seems like a really, really, really good plan for ol' Willie.
I can't think of too many tasks better suited for the EDSBS Commentariat than the following prompt:
THINGS WILLIE LYLES DOES NOT PLAN TO DO
Here are some examples:
* Lyles does not plan to urinate on a beehive.
* Lyles does not plan to lick the floor of a movie theater.
* Lyles does not plan to play quarterback at UCLA.
ScOreboards
Pictures of the scoreboards from each of the six games I was able to personally attend during the 2010 season. Just 35 more days before we get to start working on new ones.
I've heard this song played before several games at Autzen this year. Lyrics posted below. Time to get fired up, y'all. GO DUCKS!
I said the joker is a wanted man
he makes his way all across the land
see him sifting through the sand
So I'll tell you all the story
'bout the joker and the thief in the night
He's always laughing in the midst of power
are we living in the final hour
there is always sweet in sour
So, we are not goin' home
Can you see the joker flying over
as she's standing in a field of clover
watching out everyday
I wonder what would happen if he took her away
What you see, well you might not know
you get the feelin' comin' after the glow
the vagabond is movin' slow
So I'll tell you all the story
'bout the joker and the thief in the night
All the people that you see in the night
hold their dreams up to the light
the wildebeest is searching for sight
We are not goin' home
Can you see the joker flying over
as she's standing in a field of clover
watching out everyday
I wonder what would happen if he took her away
I said the joker is a wanted man
he makes his way all across the land
see him sifting through the sand
So I'll tell you all the story 'bout the joker and the thief
I said, I'll tell you all the story 'bout the joker and the thief
I said, I'll tell you all about the joker and the thief in the night
UO coach Chip Kelly is a liar: an editorial by Jon Canzahno
Editor's note: "Jon Canzahno" is not a writer for the Oregonian, and is in fact fictional.
UO coach Chip Kelly is a liar
by Jon Canzahno
---------------------------------
It only took one game for Oregon coach Chip Kelly to expose himself as an incompetent head coach. It took just under two years for him to expose himself as a liar.

It's beginning to look a lot like Reser
I'm not going to lie. Ever since we took a knee in the victory formation at the end of the Arizona game, I've been quietly freaking out about the Civil War. This is a rivalry game, and we are going into the barkrat den. They'd like to become bowl-eligible, but they'd love to ruin our season.
But why be nervous? As I recall, the last time we were in Reser, things went well. Really, really well. And I think it's beginning to look a lot like that same experience again.

Happy (Neu-)Weasel Stomping Day, everybody!
Jeff Sagarin is a PAC-10 fan
A brief look into Jeff Sagarin's NCAA football rankings this week reveals some pretty interesting things about his (computer's) opinion of the PAC-10.
LaMichael to change plea on Friday
HT: EDSBS, in which Spencer Hall argues that our problems are not due to an intrinsic lack of discipline, but to an offense toward lady Tyche, the goddess of chance. A brilliant writer and someone with a basic understanding of statistics, that man is.
Whispers of the Juju: Rose Bowl, baby
It's finally here. Everything so far this season -- the punch on the smurf turf, smashing Cal and USC as if they were MAC runners-up, receiving "the full Gerhart" in Palo Alto, and the crossbar-induced heart attack in the desert -- has led to this. It's time for us to take 5 minutes to stop yelling "O" at the top of our lungs and to start listening to the gentle whispers of the Juju.
The Whispers of the Juju: Civil War Edition
Lots of conferences have championship weeks. Lots of conferences have rivalry weeks. But the Juju has only deemed the PAC-10 worthy of having the two coincide this year. Since the nation's eyes and ears will be turned toward Autzen Stadium on Thursday night, it is time that we turn our eyes and ears toward the Juju. Its secrets can be made known to those who take the time to unearth them.
