Cincy Jungle What local player do you want to see in stripes?

If you could see any of your favorite local players play for the Bengals who would it be?

For me there is the obvious answer of Isaiah Pead, I've seen all of his games he's got godly cut back ability great vision and is deadly in space. I think he would be a good compliment to BJGE and would love to get him in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Derek Wolfe- I saw him get alot of pressure on the QB at UC and would be very happy to add another pass rushing DT next to Atkins.

JK Schaffer- Tackling machine, he will probably go undrafted and would be a nice UDFA he didn't miss many tackles in college very smart and puts himself in good position and had 100 plus tackles the last 3 years. This guy would be a special teams monster

Who do you want to see in stripes?

Cincy Jungle What I would do this off-season (kinda)

First and foremost Who Dey. This off-season is going to be very interesting there are many different directions this team could go this is what i would do, not whats necessarily gonna happen but what i would do

1. Fire Bratkowski of course

2. Promote Zimmer to head coach where he do what he does best and motivate, and either bring back Marvin as the or hire Wade Phillips as the new DC

3. Hire Cower or Gruden as the GM

4. Shoot Mike Brown

5. Fire Paul Alexander and hire Big Willie as the O-line coach

6. Cut Simpson, Caldwell, Crocker, Roy Williams, Geathers, Odom, Little Palmer, Nate Livings, Dennis Roland, Reggie Kelly, and Bobbie Williams

7. Trade Palmer to San Fran for a 3rd

8. Trade Chad and TO to the Redskins for a 2nd or a 3rd and a 4th

9. Franchise J Joe

10. Sign Kyle Orton and Troy Smith

11. Sign Vincet Jackson and/ Or Malcom Floyd

12. Sign Kevin Boss

13. Sign Carl Nicks and Davin Joesph

14. Sign Barret  Ruud

15. Sign Atari Bigby

16. Draft a QB in the first, DE in the second, a big target deep threat receiver with the first third round pick, an O-lineman with the second third rounder, BPA for the rest of the draft

17. Buy a trained tiger to be our mascot and lead out the team with JB

18. HIRE SCOUTS

19. Cut Dhani and bring him back as a coach

What do you guys think?

Cincy Jungle What I learned on Sunday

First off the best thing i learned on Sunday is to always make sure you put the top back on the snakes cage.

 Now on to the Bengals.

Pass protection was awful, Palmer tried to pull a Big Ben and it didn't work.

Palmer likes him some T.O.

The linebackers looked like they wanted to kill somebody

Brat Sucks

In Zimmer we trust

Benson looked good Bernard Scott looked good too.

Michael Johnson is a beast.

Geno Atkns is a beast. (splitting double teams hell yea)

Brandon Ghee likes to hit people.

Roy Williams still likes to hit people.

I never want to see John Phillips again.

The defense could have played much better they gave up too many big plays on third down, but they stopped the Cowboys from scoring touchdowns.

Chase Coffman made a nice catch, Matt Jones wants a job very bad.

Shipley should take over punt returns and the slot receiver role.

Going deep to Caldwell STILL is not the answer.

Cincy Jungle My draft grade so far

Well well well it has been a nice ride so far I admit i was disappointed with the Jermaine Gresham pick but I'm starting to warm up to it. Dunlap wow I am very very excited for him Mike Zimmer is going to turn him into the next Julius Peppers. Jordan Shipley, long story short it will be like Housh never left we now have a new 3rd down target between him and Gresham. Brandon Ghee well we wont have to worry about any more game losing touchdowns in Oakland.

So far B+

The Bad side-The Ravens Get an incredible pass rusher and a new mountain to put in the middle

Cincy Jungle Taylor Price

Yes he is a receiver from a local Ohio college yes I am a homer...but i hope we draft Taylor Price in the 3rd round today. Say what you want but this kid is going to be a beast mark my words. He is 6'1 212 not Vincet Jackson but big especially for his 4.41 40 time he separates from who ever is covering him and if he cant shake them he is big enough to bully them around or out jump them he was among the leaders in the bench press and vertical leap

at the combine I'm telling you this kid could be a deep threat for years to come and would an absolute weapon in the Red Zone and I for one would love to see this kid in stripes.

Cincy Jungle Disappointed

Well fellow Bengals fans I for one am a tad disappointed. I wouldn't have minded the Jermaine Gresham pick if he was the best player at that point but its pretty clear he wasn't, not by a long shot. Dez Bryant, Taylor Mays, Sergio Kindle, Dan Williams, Brian Price all players who should have been taken before Gresham. If the rest of the draft goes like this then...well it will suck. I guess with Mike Brown calling the shots we should expect moves like this.

Cincy Jungle Possible Bengal signings

Let me start off by saying this if i was in Mike Brown's place the Bengals will have won more super bowls than Sh*ttsburgh

Anyway I read through the free agent list on NFL.com and took into consideration the Bengals needs and possible signings

RB/FB: Dan Kreider, Darren Sproles

WR: Arnaz Battle, Antonio Bryant, TO, David Tyree, Kelly Washington

TE: Alge Crumpler, Randy McMichael, Ben Watson

DE: Adewale Ogunleyle, Julius Peppers (Please!)

LB: Tully Banta-Cain, Aaron Kampman

CB: Leigh Bodden, Ken Lucas, Dunta Robinson

S: Antrelle Rolle- if the Cardinals release him

Now I realize Most if not all of these signings are wishful thinking due to mike brown being to cheap to go to the dollar menu at Mcdonalds and the scouting department being stranded at USC and in American Samoa...But one can hope

Cincy Jungle Ken Zampse should be leaving

Today while sitting in the car and waiting for my dad to wake up from his nap so we can demo the inside of a house I poked around the Bengals website and read the article about Ken Zampse the Bengals current quarterback coach and a head a lot of people want to roll...myself included. Anyway it said that he had an interview with the Bears for the vacant OC job, but wait Zampse signed a contract extension last off season so the Bengals would have to give permission to the Bears to Interview him. Interesting. I don't know about you guys but to me it sounds like he is on his way out. This is shaping up to be a good off season Zampse will probably leave and Mike Zimmer is back for 3 more years.

I should pray more often.

Cincy Jungle Heads Need To Roll

Lets start off by saying we know how Shank Grahm got his nickname from me.

Well I think that was it we could be on the midst of a rebuilding job. Palmer is done, i hate to say it I really do but I think he is done and its such a shame because he has the talent to be the best but the tools just aren't there. It might not happen this year but next year could be Carson Palmer last year. We need receiver help Now not in 3 years now sign TO trade Coles for whatever a cold beer i don't care, sign Ben Watson develop Coffman cut Shank fire Bratkowski fire Marvin Lewis make Mike Zimmer the head coach. After that game i have determined nobody is safe Benson could even be on his way out not because lack of production because he is the only thing we could trade on offense. We need a deep threat TO can do it I'm all for it, Palmer needs to leave draft a QB, Shank is gone sign mike nugent, give Mike Zimmer whatever he wants.

The bottom line is the offense sucks ass major ass and needs help Mike Brown needs to go into free agency handing out blank checks.

I love Palmer but can no longer make excuses for him he is done he is injury prone and his time in cincy is almost done.

Oh and stop saying Darelle Revis shutdown Chad, Palmer only threw it to him like 4 times. Palmer and Bratkowski shutdown Chad

Cincy Jungle Time to catch fire

As we all know the Bengals loss to the Chargers and like all losses it sucked. But in that loss i think something was found that has been lost for too long a while, A flow on offense. Palmer looked like the Palmer of old slinging the ball around and fitting it into spots tighter than size 9 shoes on Shaq and the God of Golden Arms had emerged from mediocredy back to his former glory. Now its time to build on this, Super Bowl teams play great football all year then catch fire around the playoffs and ride it all the way to a championship. Now is our time the Bengals need to come out the gate throwing once again let palmer get in a groove then after he has thrown 4 touchdowns to Chad and kept Dan Coats on the sidline hand it off big bad Ceddy Ben and LJ and let them run rampid causing destruction all over the field. The Bengals need to pour some gasoline jet fuel and gun powder on the fire that was started last week and ride it to the Super Bowl.

Cincy Jungle Classic Bengals

I love the bengals and at the same time i just want to slap them sometimes. Let me start by saying very good game cut down those penalties and tell leon hall that he has to Cover his man and it would be a great game. Now when i say classic bengals i mean they will be in every tough game that they are supposed to lose (scratch the vikings) and lose the easy ones you are supposed to win, like today, we were in that game until Andre "clutch fumble" Caldwell fumbled, ugh. This brings me back to the raiders a game we should have won but lost that is coming back to haunt us because if we won that game we would have been ahead of the chargers and the loss today would have only made the race a tie, but they didn't so it wasn't. Classic Bengals. Moving on.

Bob Bratkowski I just have one question. Was it reaally that bad? You put together a good gameplan and let palmer do what he does best, and what happened? Points! Offense! Points! And less opportunities for shank grahm to push it wide right. Was it really that bad?

Cincy Jungle Best RB in the league

Who is the best running back in the league? Now most people would say Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson but I measure running backs on 3 levels. Passion Production and dominance. That being said (wait for the curve ball) I think Steven Jackson is the best. Here is why. In a league of teams with 3 different backs for all downs he is the true feature back he is on the top 5 in rushing yards running behind THE RAMS offensive line and he never goes down on the first hit and refuses to go down. Adrian Peterson has the most talent and running behind the Vikes o-line there is no reason he shouldn't be leading the league by a long shot

Top Running Backs

1. Steven Jackson

2. Adrian Peterson

3. Chris Johnson

4. Cedric Benson

5. Rashard Mendenhall

Lets see how much i get ripped for this

Cincy Jungle A video every bengals fan need to watch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boaSVmxJ6L0

the embed didnt work maybe the url will

its a year late i know but still. Kinda puts it all in perspective for you huh. It is often said that some genetic traits skip a generation. Paul Brown was the Einstein of football he was an innovator and a perfect coach and Mike Brown Did this. So the love child of Mike and the prostitute he spends all the money set aside for signing big name free agents and scouting should be incredible.

Cincy Jungle Ben Watson

He is a free agent after the season end. How about a hell ye to seeing Ben Watson in stripes next year. True he won't block like Reggy Kelly but he sure will give Palmer somebody to dump it off to. And for that matter who wants to see Shawn Merriman in Stripes. True he is a 3-4 linebacker but I am sure Zimmer could find a way to make it work, he did put us in the top 10 in defense.
