Was anyone else disapponted. . .
by what took place in Tiger Stadium Saturday at the beginning of the 4th quarter?
I noticed, when I got home from work to watch the game, that people were already streaming out of the stadium. LSU was by no means out of the game yet. They displayed the same fight that I have come to expect from every Les Miles coached football team. I felt confident that LSU was not finished scoring in that game. It got so bad, at one point, that Danielson mentioned the fact that LSU fans had left. I was disheartened to see the sad sight of many empty seats from my TV before the outcome was decided.
Don't get me wrong, I understand why people do this, but WTF? LSU was still in the game at this point. I'm just disappointed because we are so proud of the fact that Tiger Stadium is such an impressive venue for a football game and the fickleness of the fans is displayed for the whole country to see.
Just sayin'
I have been reading . . .
. . .the blogs on the net for a couple of years now. However, I have a question that maybe one of you learned blog lurkers may answer for me.
Where in the hell did the moniker of 'corndog' for LSU fans come from? I've been reading EDSBS, Losers with Socks, among others, but I cannot find where the term originally came from.
I do know that it makes reference to fans of the Tigers. I think it is kind of humorous, but just don't know the origins. Please help.
