Derrick Harvey, reportedly released
Derrick Harvey, reportedly released, according to the Sirius NFL Network. Can't find anything supporting that, but I'm sure it's coming. We all know Harvey's troubles here, and I think we all saw this coming at some point. I don't think he'll be the last to go, as the report from yesterday, prior to the Clint Session report, and some other reports, said we had 90 on the roster as it stood.
In Gene we trust :-)
MMQB & GM Gene
Peter King is giving GM Genius some love in his MMQB column.
Jags Training Camp on Sirius 8/03
8/03 at 3pm, Sirius will be at The Jack the newly named Jaguars stadium to report on Training camp. I think the channel is NFL 124. This is always a great set of interviews, and for those of outside of J'ville, it's about the only time we get to hear some of the guys get interviewed. Last year I think it was 3 hours! I'll be sitting in my truck listening intently :-)
Sirius Training Camp Schedule
Ross Tucker admits GM Gene knows more
As I read this piece on the draft from Tucker, I saw all of his NEEDS based talk and thought, boy is going to rail on us. Instead, he cited last year, and said don't judge Gene Smith until they play. Basically admitting that Gene might just know more than he does.

NFL Replay
I know no one Really wants to watch it again. But if you do, it's on NFL replay on NFL network tonight. Which means it was one of the best games of the weekend in NFL network's opinion. It should replay later tonight, which if you have NFL network, you probably have a sat dish, and may just have a DVR.
It started at 8, I think it'll come back on at 12.
Jags Colts on NFL Replay
The second game on NFL Replay tonight is the Jags Colts game. If you've never watched one of these NFL Replays, you should give it a try. It's broadcast in HD, so it's looks better than the network stuff. They cut out all of the game that wasn't action. Like "fair-catches", 3 and outs where nothing happens, stuff like that. What they do include, is interviews with the players and coaches over the actual plays. Kind of cool to see it, and hear what Fred has to say about the play.
Give it a try. Is that enough words yet?
Final 53 are in - Keeping 6 WR's
Jaguars.com reports that the final 53 are now known. JDR did decide to keep 6 WR's. Jerry Porter, Reggie Wiliams, Dennis Northcut, Matt Jones, Mike Walker, and Troy Williamson have all made the final roster. What does this say about the Porter injury? Only time will tell.

- RB Ciatrick Fason
- LB Tony Gilbert
- DT Jesse Mahelona
- DE Kenny Pettway

You'll notice Spoon is on the starting roster. You have to love a value signing!
Sirius @ Jags camp at 3PM on the 5th
I just saw that Sirius is doing a "Moving the Chains" with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan about our Jacksonville Jaguars today at 3 (now) in Jacksonville. No idea how long the show will last. Chanel 124 if you don't already know. If you have Sirius, you can probably listen online, as I am doing right now. If you don't have Sirius, guess there's not much you can do.
Paul Spicer is on right now. Derick Landry just spoke up.
Go Jags!
