Here we go Again with Favre

Looks like Brett Favre is going to sign a 2 year deal worth around 25 million with the Vikings.Although it isn't official yet, this will definitely make them a better team as no one was convinced Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels could carry this team. This is somewhat Cardinals news as we play the Vikings this year. The Cards are already looking to get back at the Vikings for the embarrassing loss last year this will just feed the burning fire as Favre also embarrassed us with his 6 TD performance with the Jets.

NFC West Breakdown: Seattle Seahawks

If there was anything constant about the NFC West division the past 6 years, it was that Seattle was gonna win the division. Can they rebound from a tough year and overtake the Arizona Cardinals...

NFC West Breakdown: St. Louis Rams

For the past few couple seasons the St. Louis Rams have been one of the worst teams in the NFL. In 2007 they went 3-13 and in 2008 they went 2-14. Those aren't very good records but things are...

Derrick Mason Pulls a Favre

This should put an end to all the Boldin to Ravens rumors that popped up again when Mason retired.

Boldin Going to Play Happy this Season?

Seems like he is looking forward to this season despite not getting his new contract. This will be great news as it takes away distractions from the team so they can focus on getting back to the playoffs and the SuperBowl.

Cardinals Sign 2nd Round Pick Cody Brown.

The deal is a 4 year deal ,with terms not being disclosed. I imagine he got something in the neighborhood of 1 mil a year. This makes 7 of 8 draftees signed and that just leaves Beanie Wells as the final draftee to sign. Tony Davis, an undrafted rookie, was cut to make room for Brown.

ESPN's First Power Rankings are out.

We got 12th out of a possible 32 teams. Nice to see the respect we got from last season, which for the whole season was none, carried over to this season. Hopefully the Cards use it like they did last year and prove everyone wrong.

Ziggy Hood (32nd pick in draft) signs.

Apparently he signed a contract that will pay him somewhere between 8.7 mil and 11.3 mil over 5 years. The contract would only reach 11.3 because of escalators. Why is this important? Well the Cards drafted Beanie Wells at 31 and this should help with getting him signed before camp starts this weekend.

Felipe Lopez Traded

Flip was traded to the Brewers today for right-handed pitcher Roque Mercedes and outfielder Cole Gillespie, both of whom are Miner Leaguers.

Making a Position Change can be Tough.

Darren Urban talks to Antrel Rolle about making the change from corner back to safety and how tough it was for him. He than talks about how Will Davis and Cody Brown will have to make similar adjustments to LB from DE. More on the change for Will Davis here.

Charlie Manuel tabs Tim Lincecum, snubs Dan Haren, for All-Star start

Travesty of justice. Lincecum picked over the best starter in the National League, to start the All-Star game.

Possible Return Man for the Cards?

Darren Urban, of, writes this article about Michael Ray Garvin whom has freakish speed. We got him as an undrafted free agent and if he can learn how to return kicks and punts he might be one of the better players in the league. Right now he is clocked at running 100 yards in 10.10 seconds and his 400 yard is 46.6 seconds.

Future Hall of Famer tested positive for steroids.

We all had that feeling that Sosa took steroids but now we have the proof that he did it. Sosa was on the 2003 list of players that took steroids, you know the one that ARod was on. Before this Sosa was a definite HoF and now that there is proof that he did steroids it most likely means no HoF for Sosa.

Cards Madden 2010 player rankings.

With there not being much news about the Cards I started looking at some of the other stories from fellow SB sites and came across the Broncos blog Mile High Report which had a story on the 2010...

Ben Patrick to be suspended for 4 games.

Patrick violated the leagues substance abuse policy and under the rules 1st offenders are suspended for four games. The substance is believed to be Aderol.

Conor Jackson on daytime television?

Conor Jackson is set to be on ABC's soap opera General Hospital. Guess CoJack is following in his dad's footsteps.

League executives on Cards and Boldin situation.

Mike Sando, of ESPN, talks to some league executives and agents to find out what Boldin and the Cards need to do to get this deal done, whether it is a trade of new contract. Pretty interesting stuff on what others in the league think of the situation.

Vote for Manny???

This guy created a site called Vote for Manny and it isn't what you think it is. It is actually ripping MLB for how they are running the All-Star game. This blog is quite interesting and I would recommend reading this guy's article. Here is the another page by the writer.

All-Star Voting

Alright bloggers I saw the totals up to this point of the votes cast by the fans and it looks pathetic. There isn't one DBack on any of the top 5, 15 for outfield, and that is what's pathetic. I...

Looks like former Cardinal Rod Hood is Cleveland bound.

It hasn't been finalized but it is looking like he will be a Brown for this upcoming season.

Cards Sign Rookie WR out of Northern Alabama

His name is Edward Grant and played as a receiver, running back, kick returner and punt returner. Could be a nice addition.

We just don't get any respect!

Watching teams come into our house and stomp all over us and having no respect for us is really starting to get old. Last nights game was just the latest example of teams disrespecting us and we do...

Webby to start playing catch?

Brandon Webb could start playing catch in the upcoming road trip. Just another step closer to getting a much needed shot in the arm.

I think this sums up the DBacks season, so far....

AJ Hinch is going to be the manager through 2012, according to Josh Byrnes.

AJ Hinch is going to be the manager through 2012, according to Josh Byrnes.

Only source for this was the press conference.

Any interest in Pisa Tinoisamoa?

Might be nice to add a little more depth to the OLB position. He is only 27, so we would be adding some young depth to the team. If it isn't too much money to get him I would think it would be a nice addition to the team.

Ken Rosenthal ranting about our hire for manager.

I don't think Ken Rosenthal thinks Hinch is going to succeed. He never says this but it is just a hunch. So do you guys agree or disagree with his article?

Boldin's chances of being traded just went up

The Anquan Boldin trade sage rages on, here's an update on the status between the Arizona Cardinals and Boldin.

John Madden is Gone

No, he is not dead, he just retired. Madden retires from football after 30 years as one of the best in the broadcast booth and 10 years as one of the best coaches to coach the game. Despite all his...
