Clips Nation Why are we terrible in defending the three pt line?

Why are we terrible in defending the three pt line?

Teams are shooting 41.8% behind the 3 pt line vs the clippers. For me, it looks like we don't chase the opponents of the line and we get stuck behind picks. When the other team is hitting 3s, we need to make some to keep pace. Unfortunately, we are shooting 29.8% behind the line. I believe if this team is going to compete, we need to improve our 3pt defense or we will be playing catch up every game.

Clips Nation My Crazy Ass Dream

For some reason, I was tired of rooting for the clippers and decided to sell my fandom to any team with the best sales pitch. It was similar to Lebron' s decision. I had random teams come meet at the local Starbucks. I think the Knicks, Lakers, Grizzlies and clippers were there. I remember DTS giving me a Laser Disc featuring the reasons why I should stay with team. The only problem is that we were unable to play the disc since Laser Disc players were not readily available. Even in my dreams, the clippers are an epic fail.

Anyways, I decided to sign with the Lakers. There was a press conference, the scene was like the High School Football All star game where 3 hats are laid out on the table and I would choose one. Right after putting on the laker hate, I was surrounded by the Laker organization. There was Kobe, Hitler, Jerry Buss, Bin Laden and the Devil. We all smiled for the LA Times photographer.

The next day, it was featured on the front page of the LA times. The only problem in the picture was that Jerry Buss and I were the only ones in it. As if the others disappeared. I must have been pre-celebrating prop 19 a bit early.

Clips Nation Will you show for the LBJ parade

How many clipper fans will show up at the Lebron James Clipper parade? I would go, but I have work and do not feel like traveling through traffic. If anyone is going, can you document the experience? I wonder if there is going to be a banner to welcome Lebron James to LA. I do not anyone attending the event from my circle of fans. Hopefully this is a success. Come on Lebron, we can just dream for the time being.

Clips Nation Kaman for Mike Miller

http://www.hoopsworld.com/HeadlineStories.asp?lc=NBA&c=1&TEAM_ID=&PLAYER_ID=&hd=20090622#STORY_19722

According to the report, Minny offered Miller for Kaman. The deal was shot down and countered with Camby for Miller. Is Miller one of those "glue" guys we have been discussing over the summer? I like Mike miller as a good SF that could really help on this team on the offensive end. Salary wise, Camby and Miller match up. Share your thoughts

Clips Nation Chad Ford Latest Rumor

Ford's Lastest rumors

The hottest rumor at the camp Thursday had the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder in hot and heavy talks about a swap of the No. 1 pick for the No. 3 pick. I heard a number of variations, including Oklahoma City sending Jeff Green to Los Angeles and another in which the Thunder take back one of the Clippers' bad contracts, particularly those of Zach Randolph or Chris Kaman.

But Clippers general manager Mike Dunleavy told me Thursday afternoon that all of this talk about his team trading the No. 1 pick to the Thunder (or any other team) is hooey. While Dunleavy has had to backtrack after saying publicly that the Clippers would draft Blake Griffin with the top pick (which violated the unwritten rule that you're not supposed to announce your pick until draft night), all signs are pointing strongly toward L.A. selecting Griffin and keeping him.

Clips Nation Chad Ford Draft notes

SAN FRANCISCO -- I talked to one NBA executive in Los Angeles on Tuesday who said it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Clippers reoffer Baron Davis to the Warriors for Corey Maggette if the Clips can land Ricky Rubio in the draft. The Clippers are big fans of Rubio, and obviously they can't play him with Davis.

The Warriors turned down similar overtures at the trade deadline, but they might want to reconsider. With a healthy Davis, they would be a playoff team. But as of now, they lack a regular point guard and look as if they could be making another trip to the lottery.

• The Clippers and Blazers were among several teams in Reseda, Calif., on Monday watching a workout with Nick Calathes, Jrue Holiday, Earl Clark and Jon Brockman.

One of the NBA executives in the gym had high praise for Calathes.

"He's a better passer than I thought he was," the executive said. "He really had a good feel for the pick-and-roll drills. I like how he sees the floor. If he can prove he can defend and hit that jump shot consistently, I think he's a really intriguing guy."

The same executive said Holiday has the most upside: "He doesn't look like he's totally confident out there. He's still thinking a lot. But you look at the raw talent and say in two or three years he could be special. If you're willing to wait, there is a lot to like there. I think he just needs to believe again."

Clips Nation Sterling, NAACP winner? How ?

NAACP Honoring Sterling?

Clippers owner Donald Sterling, accused of racism and embracing a "vision of a Southern plantation-type structure" in a lawsuit filed in February by Elgin Baylor, will be given a lifetime achievement award next week by the NAACP.

Leon Jenkins, president of the Los Angeles branch of the civil rights organization, says of the much-maligned Sterling, "He has a unique history of giving to the children of L.A.," revealing that the owner donates anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 tickets a game to youth groups for nearly every Clippers home game.

Noting that the NAACP had made plans to honor Sterling before Baylor filed suit, Jenkins says, "We can't speak to the allegations, but what we do know is that for the most part [Sterling] has been very, very kind to the minority youth community." -- Los Angeles Times
