Pinstripe Alley Greatest Yankees of all time

I've been a Yankee fan for 50 years now. I started listening to them during the 1958 World Series.

It turned out to be a great start. Yankees were down 3 games to 1 and won the Series ! Bob Turley, their ace pitcher, won 3 games in that series. Then came the Mantle/Maris era,  Munson/Jackson years, Martinez/O'Neill/Cone years with a few periods of frustration thrown in (1960 - Mazeroski homer in Game7; 2001 - Rivera blowing a rare save in Game7; 2004 - losing to Beantown after being up 3 games to none; 1981 - Losing to Dodgers after being up 2-0).

Anyway, here's my list of Yankee greats (in this order) : RUTH, GEHRIG, DIMAGGIO, MANTLE, FORD.

Curious about some of your favorites (past & current).

I was fortunate to see Mantle (my idol) and Ford play. I guess I've been lucky to be a Yankee fan all my life and to watch this exciting new team to bring more Yankee pennants & championships. Today I proudly wear my Yankee 'Mantle 7' jersey to every game I attend at Yankee Stadium.

GO Yankees tonight. Let's get #27 all wrapped up !!!
