Buff's spring practice schedule released

The spring practice schedule has been released. I like the idea of one practice after the spring game to address issues seen during it. Great idea.

Or even the former roommate of anybody's father's brother's nephew's cousin but the quiet surrounding the football program is deafening. Are there are rumors at all floating about? I want something to get excited about with regards to football. I realize that even if Coach Mac does eventually deliver the first year will probably feel like the last 7 (oh the horror). I'm in need of some positivity regarding the program. Somebody throw us a bone please.

Barnett got in trouble because he wasn't smart enough to deal with a situation that wasn't his doing. I don't know if we'll even know why Hawkins imploded. It appears that he was just handed a good system at Boise and when it came to implementing his own he failed miserably. Embree was given a shell of a program and not enough time, though in the time he had there was no on field improvement. Perhaps it would have come over the course of the next year but we'll never find out and it is in the past now. I do believe Embree was possibly pushed on Bohn as well and given the time period and the set of facts in play during that time he capitulated. Now we've been spurned by our apparent top choice to replace Embree, and possibly played as a bargaining chip, Bohn is looking like a fool with his handling of the program the last 7 years. (wow has it been that long?) Colorado needs to hire DeRuyter or MacIntyre ASAP and then fire Bohn. This is disgraceful and he needs to be held accountable.

I see glimmers here and there and there are plenty of stories where things looked as bad as they do now. Everybody has an opinion but my opinion is that I think we will have a better core next year and should start being competitive.

Check out this story on Buff Zone about Blacken and his approach to strength training and how it differs from the previous regime. I couldn't agree more with his philosophy as I've known plenty of guys that would focus on power but not be able to translate it well to a wide range of movement. So many athletes get hurt because they don't focus on flexibility and range of movement. I really really want next season to start right now.

Anybody else compulsively looking for news of Hawkins being fired?

I cannot believe the school will keep him past Sunday night. Put an interim head coach in and put the help wanted sign up. Some quality coach out there has to want to take on the challenge of rebuilding CU football. That he refuses to acknowledge that his game plan cost the game is outrageous. The should have ground it out on the ground, no trick plays or iffy passes. I'm really at an all time low here, this man seems not to care at all and those above him seem not to care as well.
