I did this just out of curiousity. Updated the rosters, released and traded for all the current players on the roster (Added Burleson,Williams, Wade, Houston, KVB are just the big ones). Started franchise mode and simulated the whole season with injuries off. I know that being optimistic. I gave our rookies and a couple others a little bump in ratings to sim improvement. If you must know. Staff is a 82, Delmas 87 (I think), Pettigrew 85, Backus 80, Cherilus 78 or 76, SLH up to about a 74. This is what the starting lineup looked like.

Offense: Stafford QB, K. Smith RB, Felton FB, Pettigrew TE, OL Backus, Sims, Riaola, Peterman, Cherilus, WR C. Johnson, Burleson and I tried diferent scenarios with the slot receiver. Bryant Johnson had the best season out of the slot receivers.

Defense: DL KVB, C. Williams, SLH, Avril, LB Sims, Levy, Peterson, CB Houston, Wade, S Delmas, Simpson

I'm doing the mock draft at Pride of Detroit (Lions Blog). I would like to know who you all would like to see drafted. The Pats have picks 22, 44, 48 and 53. I'm just here to get some info. Some would like to see Odrick or Kindle at 22. Either way it goes the pass rush will be addressed. Just need some insight from true Patriots fans on who I should take. Thanks!!

Thanks MattyZ for giving me the idea for this after your "This Way To Madness" post.   I would have to say this before I start, no cheating!!   We all know it is a shame that we passed on some of the greatest players to play the game during the "Millen Era".  That's what brought me to post this. I am hopeful that the Lions will have a Pro Bowler soon.  On with the question right?  Here goes.

I like this guy.  I been advertising him on POD for a while.  He is a projected late 1st round to early 2nd round pick.  He is a starting center and can play guard also. I think he would be a great asset to our offensive line.  Everybody has nothing but good things to say about him.  I say we take him. Let the criticism begin.

I decided this morning after reading another mock draft that I would post this.  Can we at least give the draft talk a rest until the end of the month?  I don't think It will happen but, lets get to the point of this post.  I think it is pretty obvious that we a seeing the greatest quarterback of all time in Peyton Manning.  Yes, I know he only has one Super Bowl win.  The numbers are speaking IMO.  Even in Madden they are talking.  He has every single career passing record.  I mean this is only one mans opinion.  Let the argument begin!!
