we sat outside at the restuarant thats in the warehouse buiding beyond the right filed bleachers. when we sat down i noticed several round plaques in the concrete in the street between the bleachers and the warehouse. looked over a few feet from our table at the closest plaque and saw this: apparently when someone hits a home run out of the stadium onto the street, they put a plaque in the concrete where the ball landed. the most impressive one is the plaque on the side of the warehouse wall, hit by Griffey Jr.

Paulino update

--RHP Felipe Paulino (Tommy John surgery in July 2012) went on the 60-day list Feb. 12. He began a minor league rehab assignment June 11 with Double-A Northwest Arkansas but was shut down after one start because of lower-back stiffness. Paulino threw a bullpen session June 23 and a simulated game June 25. He was to start June 30 for Northwest Arkansas, but after coming down with a sore shoulder after a bullpen session, the Royals opted to not resume his rehab assignment. He threw two-inning simulated games July 22 and July 25. He is scheduled to throw a three-inning simulated game July 30 at the Royals' complex in Surprise, Ariz. If all goes well, Paulino would report this weekend to Double-A Northwest Arkansas to resume his minor league rehab assignment.
