Stephen Jackson is BACK on the Golden State Warriors! Are you kidding me?!?!?
OK - let me preface this by a couple of things.
1. This rant might prove to be pointless as we could easily flip Stephen Jackson in another trade, try to figure out a buyout, or never suit the man up.
2. I have previously claimed Stephen Jackson was my favorite player on the We Believe Warriors team. See Player Recaps and Predictions: Stephen Jackson 07-08 and Stephen Jackson - O Captain, My Captain. But I'm going to make this very clear....

I DO NOT WANT STEPHEN JACKSON BACK IN A WARRIORS JERSEY!

San Francisco 49ers And The 2012 NFL Playoffs: We Believe, Part 2?

San Francisco 49ers And The 2012 NFL Playoffs: We Believe, Part 2?
Fooch's Note: Big Thanks to R Dizzle for putting this FanPost together.
Waddup Niners Nation!
First of all, big thanks to Fooch and the entire Niners Nation crew for allowing me to post this and for their great work this whole season. Don't tell my folks back at Golden State of Mind, but Niners Nation is actually the first page I read in the morning...mostly to check out ninjames's links about how Alex Smith is obviously a game manager, and this and that. Also, big thanks to Tony.psd for the original artwork.
For those of you that don't frequent GSoM, SB Nation's Warriors blog, my name is R Dizzle and as my blog name suggests, I'm an avid Warriors fan (I am fully aware that doesn't make any sense). Yes, somehow, someway, I've been supporting the "amazing" basketball team that resides on the other side of the Bay. I've also been a 49er fan since I began watching/playing sports - but, unfortunately for me, my first season with the Niners was the SuperBowl season back in '94...and let's just say I've had some high expectations since then that have yet to be met.
Being a Warriors fan, I know what it's like to watch your team, for a lack of better words, suck, for a looooong time and then put it together for one amazing season.
Saturday afternoon brings the 49ers against the New Orleans Saints. It's been a loooong time since the 49ers have been in the playoffs. All of the "experts" claim the Saints and their high-octane offense are going to go "lights-out" in Candlestick (see what I did right there?) and destroy the 49ers. Kinda like the Warriors had no shot against the Mavericks in the 2007 playoffs...right?
Are the 2011 San Francisco 49ers...WE BELIEVE, PART 2?
Chapter 11 - How to Manage Yourself Into a Victory.
Big ups to Tony.psd for the artwork!

GameThread #3: Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks - Andris Biedrins Comeback Season?
When was the last you associated these words together?
- Warriors....defense
- Andris Biedrins..fantastic
- Kwame Brown...anchoring the defense
I think the appropriate answer would be "not in a very long time." Two games into the shortened season and it's starting to look like something we haven't seen in these parts in a while...

Monta Ellis Starts a Rap Career...FOR REAL! Is there anything he CAN'T do?
Warriors Weekly: In The Studio With Monta Ellis - 4/4/11 (via GoldenStateWarriors)
Real quick while I find ways to not study for my final tomorrow - Remember when I posted about Monta Ellis starting a rap career?
Turns out he's ACTUALLY STARTING A RAP CAREER.
Peep the YouTube video above from the Warriors Weekly segments. Monta gets interviewed by none other than Bay Area legend Chuy Gomez!
P.S. Monta has a Cowboys jersey in his house and claims the reason he wears #8 is because of Troy Aikman.
...what a quick way to lose some Bay Area fans
GameThread #78 - Golden State Warriors @ Portland TrailBlazers - To Tank, or Not to Tank, THAT is the Question!

Decisions...decisions...
Golden State Warriors (33-44) @ Portland Trail Blazers (45-32)
Tip-Off: 7:00 pm | CSN Bay Area | KNBR 680
Hamlet said it best when he asked, "To tank or not to tank?"
Tonight, we have another meaningless game ahead of us. Well, for the Blazers, fighting to clinch a playoff spot, it ain't meaningless. But for the lottery-bound Warriors (per usual), it means nothing. If we tank, we get a slightly better chance at winning the lottery or move up a slot or two...if we don't tank, we stay put in draft order and have basically the same chance at winning the lottery.
So fellow GSoMers....to tank or not to tank? That is the question!
Recap #70 - Golden State Warriors 73, Dallas Mavericks 101 - Just don't care anymore

Is he even trying anymore?
Boxscore | Preview/ GameThread | Game Day Links
If we're trying to tank and get a higher draft pick, losing by 29 points is probably the best way to do it. In fact, Coach Smart might be the best at doing so...remember the 2002-2003 Cleveland Cavaliers? Guess who they got...that's right, the one and the only LeBron James.
Maybe we can get LeBron James #2?
Who knows man...all I know is I wasted my perfectly good Sunday evening to watching some cruddy game instead of studying for my Histology Quiz on Tuesday. Just like they gave me a half-donkey effort, I'm going to give THEM a half-donkey effort with this recap.

Let's see...4 days ago we played the Dallas Mavericks (one of our big rivals due to "WE BELIEVE" times) on national television and came out hot hot hot with an 18 point lead. About 2 hours later we found ourselves down 6 points with 0 seconds to go. Guess that means we lost... Like AB1 said in the last recap, thankfully there's only 13 games left in this season. Even though this season was not filled with the typical drama of a Warriors season, I still feel left with no hope. Oh well...

Fear the Sword
Baron Davis...I must admit, that man was one of my faves back in our "We Believe" run. Really though, how could you NOT like this guy? A castaway from another team, traded for peanuts, came over here with low expectations and ran the show.
Kinda reminds you of SJax too, right? But we'll leave that discussion for another day.
Point is - look at where we are and look were B Diddy are. I don't want to play the "what if" game, so we'll leave it at...maybe we're both better off without each other?
Let's face it, Baron must love being in Cleveland. I hear it's a big market so he can pursue his movie career. Also, I heard through the grapevine that they have the best owner in major league sports.
But enough about B Diddy and his life in Cleveland...let's focus on today's game!

Yesss....my favorite Warrior games are always against the Kings. Remember the last game? VladRad hit that money 3 pointer at the end of the game sending it to OT where we doooommiiinnnaaaatteeeeeddddddd!
Better yet - remember that epic game a few years ago when they took it to three OTs? We lost by two points, 133 to 135, but it was TRULY UNSTOPPABLE BABY!
Let's be real - these two teams won't be meeting up in the Western Conference Finals anytime soon, but truth be told, these are the most entertaining games.
So let's play a game called...Who would you rather have?

What time is it? DAVID LEE TIME!!
That's right - our $80 million big man has been cleared to play (still a game time decision) after being bitten by the Vampire that is Wilson Chandler.
Sure, we've won one game in his absence, but I think it's pretty clear that we need Lee's rebounding ability.
That's not to take away from Andris Biedrin's big performance last night (28 points and 21 rebounds - see -RECAP #16: Golden State Warriors 111, Memphis Grizzlies 116- Not so Smart coaching = 1-7 without David Lee) but I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Lee's abilities will lead us to victory.
And after the jump, I got 3 reasons why David Lee is one of the best players in basketball, nay, roughest toughest NBA player out there!

RECAP #9: Golden State Warriors 90, Chicago Bulls 120 - Too tired to deal with the Bulls
"Coach Smart said animals were scary"
Warriors vs Bulls boxscore | Warriors vs Bulls coverage | Blog a Bull
"We talked about playing on the road how you're going to run into the wolf, the bear and the lion," Golden State head coach Keith Smart said. "We escaped the wolf [Wednesday night in New York], but the bear got us tonight."
I could sworn the Warriors were playing the Bulls, but Coach Smart seems to disagree. (bad joke, bad joke)
I've spent the better part of my day not doing my work and trying to figure out what in the world this quote means.
Game Thread #9: Golden State Warriors @ Chicago Bulls - Joakim Noah gets better by the day
We all know Joakim Noah to openly express his feelings when it comes to things. He's not one to keep quiet. But did you see his latest comments about Kevin Garnett?
"He's a very mean guy," Noah said Wednesday. "Where's the love? None at all. Ugly, too."
HE called someone else ugly? It really doesn't get better than that.
And it certainly won't tonight as the Warriors fly halfway across the country from NY to Chi-town to play back-to-back games.
Loss #3 here we come!
RECAP: Golden State Warriors 97, Detroit Pistons 102 - Sigh...
Well, that's that folks. Any hope/confidence that you had in this season can officially be thrown out the window. We lost to the PISTONS. THE FRIGGIN' PISTONS!
When you hear a coach say
"It’s done," [Kuester] said. "We’ve moved on."
About his turmoil with a player, he's either
A - Lying to the cameras to make the situation look better than it really is
or
B - Telling the truth about his relationship with said player, and said player is about to come back and tear it up.
Unfortunately for us, it was option B.

Looks like it's going to be smoooooth sailin on Lake Huron tonight (bet ya didn't know the closest lake to Detroit is Lake Huron). First time in...15 years!
Yes, that's right. The Warriors have dropped three straight at the Palace in Auburn Hills (why are they called the DETROIT PISTONS?) and have been a tremendous 1-14 there since the 1994-95 season.
As with everything this season, it's time to turn it around, so pop on your boat shoes (preferably your Sperry's), go find T-Pain, and sail on to the J-U-M-P!

Unfortunately for us, these three guys won't be playing together tonight...
What a busy day in Warriors world!
- Unfortunately for all of us, Anthony Morrow is now on the New Jersey Nets. It's official - they get Morrow, we get a 4 million trade exception (which we will not use)
- There's a chance that Larry Ellison (our future savior) is going to buy the team TODAY. [BIg ups to VonteegoCummings for the FanPost]
- The Warriors have Summer League game tonight against the Miami Heat! Yay!
Unfortunately for us...the Heat won't be showcasing their new Big 3 (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, you've been living under a rock). Also unfortunately for us, it's not televised on NBA TV tonight. But..it will be on tomorrow morning at 7 AM...so in case you want to wake up then and post in the open thread...

RUMOR: Denver Nuggets trying to pry Andris Biedrins from Golden State Warriors
I'm going to miss these free throws!
Free Agency 2010 is upon us! Didn't think we'd be players in this game?
WRONG!
Turns out there are "rumblings" about the Denver Nuggets trying to pull Andris away from us in this tumultuous Warrior time. Don't believe me? Check out this Fanshot I posted this morning.
Couldn't quite believe our FO would be willing to part with Biedrins at this point. Let's be real - we offered him a huge contract 2 years ago and his value has since declined. He had a terrible last year and the year before so why trade him now? What kind of value could we possibly get?
Well, I spent my whole morning watching Twitter feeds from sports journalists, newscasters, and players...and I found what the trade was going to be. Check the jump for the deets
