Rob Kurz is NOT going to be resigned by the Warriors (Contra Costa Times) and he is looking to new teams.

Rob Kurz won't be back with the Warriors. An unrestricted free agent, Kurz is trying to catch on with the Philadelphia 76ers.

This is a sad day for R Dizzle. In the words of 50 Cent, "Ya know you my favorite whiteboy, right?

Rob Kurz's greatness on the Warriors started in the Preseason in a little game in Beijing where he pulled off a miracle of a shot.

But, he was brought back on after a few roster moves - mostly sending DeMarcus Nelson to the D-League, and he was given yet another opportunity to shine.

It's hanging right next to my We Believe shirt. I was hoping this guy would be the second coming of Matt Barnes - guy with a chip on his shoulder (undrafted), not really allowed to shoot but had the talent (see Preseason), and no one really had faith in him but one old skool coach (Nellie). After the last few games, this looked like a serious possibility that if it happened I woulda rubbed in everyone at GSoM's face - ESPECIALLY FJ, AB1, Hash YaoButtaMing, and DJ Fuzz Logic - they're all Rob Kurz haters.

They also told me David Leroy Wood was a scrub when he played for the Warriors. Ahem...let me remind you he WAS on the team after their last playoff appearance in the 90s and if CWebb and Nellie weren't having their little tiffs, they would have made the playoffs again cause DWood was going off. He was amazing yo, such a great player.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume you all have no idea who DWood is but he'll probably go down as my favorite Warrior of all time.

Anyway, I guess I was hoping we would that Rob Kurz would be the second coming of David Wood. But being in the starting line up with 12 minutes, going 0 for 4, with only 2 assists and 2 boards ain't gonna cut it man. Even I can't defend that.

Looks like the rest of them are right as always. I'll be right about CJ Watson! Just you wait!

Let's be real here - is Rob Kurz going to be a superstar? Doubtful. He is going to be an All Star? Probably not. Is he going to be a starting PF? Maybe in a few years. Was he a great 12th man?

Yes, YES, and YES.

Either way, if you're reading this Rob, just know I will miss you. I wish you the best - you had a damn good work ethic, and played hard when you got on the court,

I wish you the best wherever you go.

As I was looking at a current list of free agents this offseason, I saw great players pop up like Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur, Leon Powe, Ben Gordon, Joe Smith (I kid, I kid), Chris "Birdman" Andersen, Ron Artest, Lamar Odom, David Lee, Nate Robinson, Matt Barnes, Ike Diogu (I joke, I joke), Shawn Marion...the list goes on.

Looks like Boozer and Okur are staying with the Utah Jazz...money-wise great option. Living wise? Yo guys, do you really want to stay in SLC for another year? I was there in January...Utah's kinda...off...

Anywho, one free agent stuck out to the most.

Beyond the ridiculous honors, stats, and great shots he's put up over the years - look at it this way. We're more than likely keeping Stephen "Masala" Curry and we're going to look to him to the PG of the future. Why not have him sit behind and learn from one of the greatest PGs in NBA history?

We could offer "The Kidd" our MLE and have him keep the position going til Curry's ready to step up into the game. Wouldn't exposing Curry to a guy that averages almost 10 assists per game be a great way to bring him in to full form?

Yes, there is talk about "Just Kidding" (someone has got to have used that nickname before, right?) possibly going to the Knicks. Mark Cuban has a meeting with him scheduled soon. But who cares?

He's originally from the Bay - born in SF, played college ball at UC Berkeley. Old friend of Gary Patyon's. Why not finish his career in the Bay?

NBA Finals 2009 - Game 1 Magic @ Lakers - This Ain't Disneyworld, This As Real As It Gets!

So Vitamin Water didn't get their little match-up of Kobe and LeBron? We all knew what they consequences of that were....

But who expected Dwight to get in the Vitamin Water mix?

Honestly, how can you not love Dwight Howard? This guy's hilarious! Second only to Mikael Pietrus of course...

At the beginning of the season, who believed in the Magic? Not even Ronald McDonald would have thought that they would have come this far...ESPECIALLY after they lost Jameer Nelson to a season ending injury. But here they are in the Finals, taking after Kevin Garnett and yelling out - "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE."

This is becoming quite the David vs. Goliath story. Underdogs are always fun to watch - very few think they can do it, and when their backs are against the wall, they tend to fight back hard. In the pregame interview, Dwight showed he had the right attitude.

"We’ve always been overlooked," Howard said. "We were overlooked in the first series against Philly. We were overlooked against Boston. We were overlooked against the Cavs, and we’re still overlooked. We don’t want to be a team that everybody picks to win, because I think as a young team, once everybody starts saying, ‘OK, you’re this or you’re that,’ sometimes you tend to forget what got you there.

"Everybody picking against us motivates us. It drives us to do something greater."

On the other side of the spectrum, we have a one, Kobe Bryant, a man that is quite detested by players, coaches, and even Warrior fans. He's already got three rings, says that Kobe-LeBron puppet commercial, but who doesn't want a fourth? Especially since all sports analysts claim that he can't do it with the original Man of Steel- Shaq. Always great to hear him speak...

"Not at all," Bryant said. "It means nothing. To me, it’s about winning another one, just because I want to win another one. "People think Shaq would have won a championship without me on that team. They’re crazy."

Crazy...we'll see. Maybe Pau will by your new big man? If I recall correctly, that didn't quite work out for your last year.

However, I will say this - just like the Ball Don't Lie, Stats Don't Lie either.

The Lakers have won 14 titles. Orlando, 0.

The Lakers have won 61 finals games. Orlando, 0.

Jackson has nine championship rings. Orlando’s Stan Van Gundy 1—but he got it as an assistant and doesn’t know where it is.

It's going to be hard for the Magic, no doubt to keep The Black Mamba from spitting his poison (who came up with that nickname anyway?) Pietrus is changing his kicks for the matchup - think that'll change his game too?

Orlando has knocked off the favored Celtics, Cavaliers and can now dispatch the Lakers.

No team has ever beaten three 60-win teams in the same postseason.

Howard thinks the Magic can nail the trifecta.

"I like our chances of winning this series," he said. "If we defend, rebound and run, we should have a title."

You forgot to add in score Dwight. You have to score.

That's all I heard at the end of last season - in the Roaracle, on TV, in the newspapers, all over the net...the organization kept saying....

"WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!"

As I mentioned the other day, Paul Wong's calling the Dubs out on it.

Mr. Wong's opening describes it all.

I have contemplated back and forth whether it's worth my time to write in about the disappointment that I have with the warrior's organization upper management, in specific you. No, this is not another angry season ticket holder blaming you for everything and anything that has happened to this team this season. Yet it's about a die hard fan that has giving his heart & soul to help this organization from a decade of miseries to becoming the darling of not just the bay area but the NBA as well.

This man DID give his heart and soul to this lousy franchise. Not only did he start "We Believe" and get the whole Bay to join in, he caused the whole NATION to follow it!

Remember in the 07-08 playoffs when the #8 Atlanta Hawks took the #1 Boston Celtics to an unexpected Game 7? Guess what they tossed up in their locker room before the game?

THAT'S RIGHT - A "WE BELIEVE" SHIRT!

This was more than just the Warriors...it was something much much more for the whole NBA.

Prior to the beginning of 2007-2008 seasons, it was my understanding through our legal counsels that the Warriors would no longer be using "We Believe" in any of their promotions for the upcoming season. To my surprise, they were. I was angry, yet I was rather flattered that the organization's marketing team could not come up with something original themselves.

Why don't we take a look at that opening video of the 2007-2008 season.

"Where the best fans in the NBA happen." - Should have been a shot of Paul Wong.

This part of the letter is very telling of the Warriors organization as a whole.

The day before April 10, 2008 the biggest game of the year vs. Denver which we loss 114-105 I'd contacted Travis (not sure last name) of marketing to help me with the cost of printing and passing out of the original "we believe" placards but never received a phone call back. Since without my permission the organization could not use the "We Believe" mantra I decided to print out the placards myself with my own money once again to pass out at that game. When I'd arrived that night, I was devastated to find "We Believe" placards placed on every seat with TNT on the back of them. I was left simply speechless! YOU GUYS MESSED UP THE MOJO!! It was never about the compensations!!!!! It was about winning, and getting this team to the PLAYOFFS! It was about creating this special feeling of "We have each others back" within that complex which we all have created together. That was what made Warriors fans the best fans in the NBA which made it impossible to beat us at Oracle.

As devastated as I was, my son and I flew out to Phoenix 4/14/08 holding on to the slimmest hope of the chance of the playoff. I want to thank Raymond Ridder for the tickets yet I had to purchase upgraded seats so that fans back home and the team could see the "Warriors Mojo Fan" was there to support. If only Baron would have shown up too, another story there. I would never forget that game, Chris Mullin personally came up to my son and I to say thank you for everything that we were doing for the team while you continued on walking away. Sorry Mr. Rowell you're not at the status of Chris Mullin yet he approached us instead.

I remember that Nuggets game - I was there. There was that certain "We Believe" feeling still left in the building, but it was out of place to see the "TNT" logo right under those two symbolic words. Like Mr. Wong said, the organization was selling out. It wasn't about being the underdog, it wasn't about doing the impossible, it was about selling tickets. What was the point of having the TNT logo on there anyway? Throughout the Mavericks series, we were getting hated on by all the TNT announcers, ESPECIALLY Charles Barkley. As fans, we could gang up on the man and prove the guy wrong. Don't get me wrong, he's an NBA great and a pretty entertaining commentator, but it was awesome to see Tony's pic get posted on TNT before a game...

So why sell out to TNT? Did you really need to keep fattening your pockets Rowell?

Mr. Rowell,

Hehehe...nice. Like Justin Timberlake said, "What goes around, Comes Around." Seems about right, doesn't it?

I also want to thank you for allowing me to pass the "We Believe" placards in your arena or we wouldn't have shared the majestic season that we all did. I hope this letter help in regards to the feeling and insight of a die hard fan. Just truly mean it when you say:

"WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU"

Today is going to be our last game with you all; I would like thank all of your staff. They are simply the best, if it wasn't for the love that they have shown us all these years this letter would've been written a long time ago.

I wish you and the organization the very best in all your endeavors. Please pack the house with true fans not with body counts.

You will be missed Paul Wong. We at Golden State of Mind thank you for everything you did for the Warriors.

The Lakers are heading back to the finals again. This team, who is heading to the franchise's 30th finals appearance, is a bit more rugged and tested compared to last year's team as they have been through some intense series this year - namely the ones against the Rockets and the Nuggets. Fight hard and you will conquer they say...and with that, the Lakers are given an opportunity to win their 15th title. Hooray....

In my mind, this stat tells it all...

The Cavaliers, with an NBA-best 66-win regular season, certainly are 0-4 this season in amped-up Amway Arena—a place the Magic start fast and finish.

Yes, I understand that the Magic haven't been in the Finals in over 14 years dating back to the Shaq-Penny days, but that don't mean jack. The Cavs are NOT playing up to their season averages and it's just a one-man show over there. I don't care who - Big Z, Delonte West, Daniel Gibson, Mo Williams, Joe Smith, SOMEBODY (gonna get hurt real bad...) - NEEDS TO STEP UP.

Reading quotes like this, just straight up leads to disaster

Um...Excuse me Mr. West, but isn't this a team game?

I would get so much pleasure seeing the Cavs lose today. Here's the way I look at it -

1. I dislike LeBron James - yes, I'm quite jealous of a man that is MY age and has made more money in the last month than I will in my whole life. (Hate is a strong word...but I really really really don't like you)

2. Sure, I drink Vitamin Water, but wouldn't it just be great if their whole advertising through Facebook flopped?

3. Those Nike commercials are really starting to get to me.
