Petition for a 13th game
With the new 10-Team Big XII not being able to have a conference championship game, is there any chance the conference could petition the NCAA to allow for a 13th regular season football game? Thanks, and Hook'em
NCAA on verge of 68-team men's tournament
I am truly shocked!
Basketball Asssitant Coaches
While this year was certainly disappointing, and Barnes' coaching of this team lacked considerably, I think he has done far to much for this program to be fired this offseason. I think he can be the coach to lead us to the promise land, but he needs to show next year that he is still leading Texas in that direction.
Instead of firing Barnes, I think we should look at bringing in some new assistant coaches. I don't want to get rid of all of our current staff, but brining in some new ideas (meaning probably not another former player of Barnes) could be very helpful (similar to what Robinson and McDuff, Chizik and then Muschamp did for the Mack and the football team).
But I don't know who the top assistants out there are. Unlike in football, where some coordinators are known just as well as their head coach, basketball staffs are all about the head man. So, I ask, who are the top assistants we could bring in to improve our basketball staff, and our basketball team?
Thanks, and Hook'em!
Hamilton says he’ll return to UT
"Longhorn freshman Jordan Hamilton, who scored 19 in the loss to Wake Forest Thursday, has told me twice that he will return to the team this season."
Durant to Sooners, "Hook'em!"
Bumped, because KD is indeed awesome --40AS.
Kevin Durant is AWESOME!!! Not just on the basketball court, but also in his support of the 'Horns and his ability to stick it to the Sooners.
"Kevin Durant, the reigning Rookie of the Year took in Oklahoma's football game against TCU on Saturday, and the former Texas start said he wrote "Hook 'Em Horns" on every autograph he signed and flashed the Longhorns' hand signal when fans wanted to take a picture with him. He didn't shy away from predicting a win for his alma mater against the top-ranked Sooners in two weeks either."
