6. Expect a collapse in K.C.: Few teams have mastered the art of the blowout loss like the Chiefs. When they lose a game, they do it with gusto! I believe the four-game winning streak in October will turn out as the high point of the season. They play a first-place schedule, and they'd better make the best of Tebow Time on Sunday, because then they get the Patriots, Steelers, Bears, Jets and Packers. The dynamic between coach Todd Haley and general manager Scott Pioli has not been good for some time. Haley has also had plenty of clashes with QB Matt Cassel. If the second half goes as expected, I expect a coaching change, with Josh McDaniels among the candidates to take over.
NFL Shame Report
The Chiefs make the shame report but for a dumb reason.
Flanny's Take: Haley should be NFL coach of the year
"There have been some great coaching performances in the NFL this year, but none better than the sensational turnaround pulled off by Todd Haley with the Kansas City Chiefs."
MMQB Mailbag: Chiefs, Rams lead charge in Missouri football revival
"The metaphor for the Chiefs' season: Casey Wiegmann... The reason I pick out Wiegmann is simple: Nobody recognizes his value in the outside world...on Sunday, in the rout of the Tennessee Titans, Wiegmann played his 10,069th straight play."

Bowe's renewed focus is turning talent into elite production
Bucky Brooks on NFL.com discusses the emergence of Dwayne Bowe as "one of the league's great receivers."
The Chiefs are catching my eye and could tangle the AFC playoff race.
Not necessarily one for Hip Hop but it's got Chiefs in it so what the heck. Red and Yellow by IRV DA PHENOM ft Cash Image & B double E
What do the Chiefs, Raiders, Broncos, & Chargers have in common?
This helps me keep a little perspective after that loss to the donkeys.
First, there are a number of top-flight head coaches not working in the NFL right now (Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Herm Edwards, Brian Billick and Tony Dungy all come to mind); which ones are most likely to get back in the game? Second, what are my beloved Broncos' chances of landing one of them?
Peter King>MONDAY MORNING QB - TUESDAY
Peter King goes on to answer, "...Herm would certainly coach again." To which I say yes, yes Denver, please hire Herm as your next head coach.
The Season: Chief among fans
A nice look at Arrowhead and the Chiefs fans from an NFL Network webisode.
I have never seen so much parity in the NFL. Take a look at the standings. The Chiefs are the only undefeated team left... The imminent labor issue and potential lockout clouded free agency and quieted the trade market... The Chargers, one of several up-and-down teams this year, are a prime example with the holdouts of wide receiver Vincent Jackson and, formerly, tackle Marcus McNeill. Maybe they would have started the season better without those issues, won the opener against the Chiefs and gone on to a 4-0 start. They're 2-2 instead.
Apparently we can now add the labor issues to the list of reasons why the Chiefs won that Monday night game
Five very preliminary things I think:
1. I think I can't believe Kansas City is the only unbeaten team in the NFL on Oct. 4.
15. New England (2-1). I am shocked to be putting Scott Pioli's new team ahead of his old team. But I've watched the Chiefs and Patriots play defense over the last three weeks, and there's no doubt the defense that's played better -- much better -- is Kansas City's. Points allowed per game: Kansas City 12.7, New England 27.3.
Redskins fans jumped me when I said Cowboys victory was a fluke. Chiefs 3-0 start a fluke too. Altho I will tip hat to Haley, Crennel, weis
Two surprise 2-0 teams that aren't the real deal yet ... Chiefs and Buccaneers. Kansas City and Tampa Bay shouldn't get too excited. The Chiefs couldn't get an offensive touchdown against the Browns, and Matt Cassel has a 55.8 QB rating. That's a concern. Both the Chiefs and the Bucs are talented, but their talent is also very young. I don't think either is ready for prime time as of yet. They need more time. They will go through growing pains, and, after some struggles, they will grow up.
"Haley making all the right moves for Chiefs..."
A nice little read from Peter King about Monday's game.

Dexter McCluster up for Rookie of the Week
Go vote for Dexter McCluster over at NFL Network.
I think if you're a Chiefs' fan, you might want to skip this section. Kansas City refused to give Jared Allen a top-tier defensive end contract 18 months ago, instead shipping him to Minnesota for what appeared to be fair compensation three days before the 2008 draft. Here's how the deal looks today:
What the Chiefs got:
1st round (15th overall) Branden Albert, OT -- Starting LT has a chance to be good. In-and-out work ethic.
3rd round (73) Jamaal Charles, RB -- Change-of-pace back averaging five carries a game in 21 pro games.
3rd round (82) DaJuan Morgan, S -- Sub safety who still has to prove self to new coaching staff.
6th round (182) Kevin Robinson, WR -- Cut by Chiefs in '08. Never played for them.
