Post VII-- Top Ten Louisville Rivals Investigation: #7 Poll

Just when you've given up on the the Top Ten Louisville Rivals Investigation ever coming to an end because it's been almost 3 months since a post, I go and throw out the ultra exciting announcement...

Reason 1,231,114 Why Louisville is Better than ND:

4

We don't arrest our athletes and their fans for partying.

Eric Crawford Copies Card Chronicle Comments

4

Try saying that five times fast. The alliteration was the only reason I really wanted to post this. However, reading the end of this article I noticed a glaring similarity to the comments on one of the recent Card Chronicle articles. Not that it wasn't hard to figure out what Coleman was talking about. Crawford didn't figure it out like CCers did though. Good work guys.

Rivals.com Headline Today: Louisville's Losses

3

Still don't have a subscription, but here's the teaser: "Louisville lost an epic recruiting battle to Kentucky when Marquis Teague, the No. 1-ranked point guard in the 2011 class, turned down Louisville and committed to the Wildcats. History might very well repeat itself in the recruitment of Michael Chandler. The center already decommitted from Louisville earlier this spring, and now it looks like Kentucky is the team to beat for his services."

BCS Champion Alabama after Louisville Commit Jacquese Kirk

10

I don't have a subscription, but here's the teaser: "Since committing to Louisville last month, three-star Jasper, Alabama corner Jacquese Kirk has picked up several BCS offers. Monday, Kirk received a huge offer from BCS champion Alabama. How will the Crimson Tide's offer affect Kirk's commitment to Louisville?"

Welcome to Louisville Football, Deiontrez Mount and John Wallace

13

From Demling: "Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) defensive end Deiontrez Mount has given a verbal pledge to the Cardinals and coach Charlie Strong. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Mount is ranked in the top five in Florida in the 110 hurdles. He held offers from Southern Mississippi, Iowa State and Minnesota and was hearing from Florida, Florida State, Georgia and South Carolina among others. The Cardinals also landed a commitment from Central Hardin kicker/punter John Wallace. The 6-1, 175-pound Wallace made 9 of 11 field goals as a junior."

I read the CJ article today and decided to check out the videos they were talking about. This kid is going to stand out at Louisville regardless of his talent. I think he'll make a great captain in a few years.

Matt Mosley Can Go to Hell

This guy is a dick, but at the same time, I'm wondering which player he's talking about.... "Cal-Louisville: This is the all-mediocre game. Louisville has one really good player and a coach who knows how to close down a restaurant. Give me Cal because someone has to win. This game disgusts me."

Taking On The Real Cardinals: Cal vs. Louisville Breakdown of Absolutely Nothing

+

I know Mike already posted a link to the Cal Blog, but I just wanted to point out this article. It's a pretty funny read, but they are taking unnecessary shots at our beloved Lady Birds. Enjoy. Short Preview: "Even odds that these girls are lining stripper poles in two years in two months now. Best coaching quote: "We want to establish some sense of normalcy, if we can use that word, in these peoples' lives." ~Mike Montgomery "Larry Bird is not walking through that door, fans. Kevin McHale is not walking through that door, and Robert Parish is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they're going to be gray and old." ~Rick Pitino"

At least we're not the only team upset in the BE Tourney! I'm hoping Cinci keeps the trend going. Shows how crazy competitive our league is. This ESPN.com headline really sums up BE conference play and tourney.
